Ebonycloud only found the frozen plants of the north. They had no leaves on them and wouldn't rovide shelter. He sighed, "Just one moment." He began to dig through the cold snow. Packing the snow in to ice as he went, he made a little snow den. He patted the roof to get it to stay and looked at his work. It was barely big enough for two full grown warriors but they were both smaller than that and could easily fit, "Come on Mothpaw, before you get frostbite." he called out to her. He walked out and stood by the entrance. He would block the cold entrance with his own body so that she would be warm. His thick londhaired pelt was better suited for the job.
Mothpaw numbly stumbled to the small cave and fell inside, curling into a ball to gain heat. She wrapped her tail around her shivering body and squeezed her lavandar eyes shut. Her whiskers twitched from the cold.
Ebonycloud padded in to the snowy den and laid in front of the entrance. Mothpaw's smaller body shook and shivered from the cold. He wrapped his fluffy tail aroun her. He licked her fur the wrong way hoping it would warm her. As he did it, to sooth her and help her fall asleep, he began to him his mother's lulby softy. Soon he was singing the words softy, "if only, if only, the woodpecker sighed, the bark on the tree was as soft as the skies, the wolf waits below hungry and lonely, he cries to the moon if only if only."
Mothpaw shuddered a content sigh. What had she been thinking earlier? This felt perfect. And so... right. She let a high purr tumble out of her throat as she sunk her head into Ebonycloud's flank.
Ebonycloud smiled akwardly and was glad she was burried in his flank. She wouldn't be able to see the akward smile. He kept singing to her, hoping it was helping her sleep. He curled his tail tighter around her so that she was perfectly warm. He continued to sing to her even though he himself was growing tired.
Mothpaw's usually perky eyes were droopy and sleepy. She didn't want to go to sleep, but she couldn't keep herself awake much longer with the soothing lullaby and Ebonycloud's fluffy pelt in her face. She sighed and sank into a mysterious sleep.
Ebonycloud heard Mothpaw's breathing finally slow down. He finished his song and yawned. He rested his head on to her small flank and purred himself in to a light sleep. Keeping his ears peerked for any sign of danger.
OOC: See becky, this is what would happen if you told luke!
Fawnpaw made her way back to the medicine cat den and curled up nice and warm. StarClan (OOC:If those are our ancestors) Had previously told her a blizzard would come tonight. Only in the solid rock of their dens would they be safe. Obviously the whole Clan had been warned, only two cats were gone when the announcement was made, and they still hadn't returned
Forestfire padded through the cruching snow. She longed for warmth and a comfortable place to sleep. For the past couple of days she had payed no attention to her duties or anything she had to do. She felt as if she was failing as deputy. Something WAS bothering her, but she couldn't figure out what. The main point was, her clan comes first, not her needs. She needed to remeber that.
ooc:// that was pretty much my bored post. idk what to say. :]] sorry i was gone for so long.
