Ebonycloud shivered in his light sleep. It awoke him as he felt the tempurature drop dramatically. His eyes snapped open and he shook Mothpaw, "We have to get out of here! Its too cold! Remeber the warning this morning. Come on Mothpaw! Wake up!" He voice was deperate and afraid. As the moments passed it grew colder and colder.
Ebonycloud stood but the roof was lower than earlier. More snow weighed it down. He gasped. Without thinking he grabbed Mothpaw by her scruff and dragged her outside. He flung her on to his back and wrapped his tail around her. Icey winds whipped at his face making it go numb, "I got you in to the mess and i am going to get you out!" yowled over the howling winds. He turned to where they had climbed the summit and raced at fast as he could to it. Carefully picking his way so he wouldn't trip.
Mothpaw's eyes widened in terror, morphing from lavendar to a deep horrified purple. All she could do is cling on to Ebonycloud's stiff back and pray to StarClan they let them live.
Snow coevered Ebonycloud face as the blizzard picked up. He cursed himself for getting Mothpaw in to so much trouble. He found the slope of the summit and began to clamb down. The ice bit at his paws making them dangerously numb. Still he pressed on, determined to get his apprentice safetly home. He slipped a few times but recovered. He was almost at the bottom of the slope when he slipped on some ice. His foot twisted and he yowled in pain. Though the pain was dulled by the numbness. His eyes burned with determination and all he could do was jump that last few lengths down and make a dash for home. When he hit the bottom he sprinted as fast as his twisted ankle would let him, "I will get you home!" he yowled in to the wind.
OOC: We are at the training summit... if you read the first post there is a review of what happened... i haven't updated it yet but we were stuck on the summit and then remembered Fawnpaw's warning...
bic:// Forestfire curled up on the dryest patch she could fine. She made a deal with herself, that when she woke up she would be her normal self again.
Gracesong shivered. Hwever warm the den was, the cold air could still get in. She looked at the tom standing at the entrance, willing him to go away so she could be alone with her beloved Wolfstar.

Wolfstar stood up. "I apologize yet again Gracesong," he meowed as the winds outside grew stronger, "But I must make sure all of my cats are here." He meowed and walked out. First he went to the Elder's den, and checked that they were all there and sleeping okay. Then he went to the Nursery, and saw the queens and kits doing fine. Next he went to the Medicine cat den and saw Fawnpaw and Nightfrost. Then he headed to the Warrior's den. He counted all his cats' heads, all asleep, as he stood at the entrance and froze when he finished. Ebonycloud wasn't there! He turned to the Apprentice den with renewed urgency and counted their smaller heads. Mothpaw was missing too! This wasn't good. He padded over to the front of the camp, ignoring the biting cold, the blowing snow, and the numbness of his paws. He wouldn't sleep until all his cats were safely in. He raised his voice to the howling winds, "Ebonycloud! Mothpaw! Where are you?!"

"It is the way of the Creed. Usually our deaths are violent but quick."
