Tabbystripe awoke. He walked out and smeeled a strange cat. It's scent mingled with Snowclan cats' scents, leading to the medicine cat den. Hw followed the trail and saw the kit. His eyes, which had been stern with fear of a rival cat attacking, softened. He padded over and touched his nose to its flank. He felt its bones poking out.
"Is anyone awake? There's a kit here!" he called out into the medicine cat clearing, wondering if they knew it was there.
