Mattie clawed her way up the thick tree bark, carefully placing each paw in a sturdy, silent position as to not disrupt the action going on in the Battle. She peered over a wide branch for a full view. She recognized Ebonycloud's dark pelt, along with Tabbystripe's and Duskstar's. She sighed. Had she just given up Clan life forever?
Ebonycloud nodded somelmy, "What ever you ask my dear friend." Her voice quivered as all the brokenclan cats moved out of camp. Her body shook and shivered with sorrow. She was going to give it all up.
Duskstar hung her head, brushing her muzzle into her friend's fur. "Come visit me soon." She looked up, her tail quivering, her eyes betrayed the depths of her grief and sorrow. "And when I say soon, I mean as soon as this battle is over, whether we are one clan or four. I don't know if the other clans will...will let ThunderClan stay in the forest if they defeat BrokenClan." She said, thrusting her muzzle into her friend's fur.

"Everyone dies eventually. Once you are born, you begin to die."
"That was not comforting either!"
"It is the way of the Creed. Usually our deaths are violent but quick."
"My apologies for interrupting your pleasent little conversation," Brokenstar called. "But we must begin the meeting once more -- and possibly the battle." He jumped onto the Great Rock, several warriors casting worried looks at the BrokenClan leader; his insane look had returned to his eyes. "Cats of the Clans!" he called. "Have you decided to join BrokenClan, or suffer a very painful death?"
Ebonycloud stroked Duskstar's pelt with her tail lovingly, "Dont worry, Starclan will know you were only doing it for the safetly of your clan," She pulled away and licked Duskstar's ear, "Farewell my friend. I will visit you." She turned and looked to the horizon. "Fromthis day on i am not longer fit to be Ebonycloud." she said determinedly, "I guess i am now just... Ebony... I am not fit to have the name a full warrior so now i will just carry half of it to remember my shame." She stood and gave Duskstar one last look of sorrow, "Goodbye." She turned and raced away.
Tabbystripe padded up to duskstar, and brushed her tail along her flank reassuringly. "I will call her by her warrior name, too, and I will miss her as well. I don't know what to do know," she murmured. She looked upat brokenstar, waiting patiently, but his eyes held more insanity than ever before. "He's scaring me, I'd almost go back to WindClan, but they won't accept me; nothing will ever be the same for us again," she whispered.
Duskstar shook her head sadly, her tail drooping. "I'm wondering if I made the right choice. Waht if the other three clans defeat BrokenClan? Will they chase my cats out?" She sighed. "I've heard the legends of SkyClan. We won't be like them. And if we have to leave, I'll get Ebonycloud to come."
