Tabystripe walked onward toward Twolegplace. She was so eager to get there, that she didn't scent another cat. the black cat stepped in front of her. Tabbystripe jumped back fearfully. Then she peered closely at the cat. "Do I know you?" she asked curiously. The cat sniffed. "Tabbystripe? Is that you?" the cat said. "What are you doing over here?" "I'm leaving WindClan," Tabbystripe replied grimly. Then, changing the subject, she said happily, "It's good to see you again Nightbreeze!" "My name's Night, now, I'm a rogue of Swiftpack," Night explained. "And why are you leaving? Where are you going? Do you need some place to come?" "Everyone left. Ebonycloud's Whisper, now. We fear Brokenheart died. Fireheart's been away on a journey. And I haven't seen my apprentice, or many other WindClan cats for that matter. WindClan has no deputy, the patrols are small, everything's so different, I couldn't take it," Tabbystripe explained. "I'm going to Twolegplace. I'll be cared for there, I'll be a kittypet." "Kittypet?" Night gasped. "Isn't that agiainst the warrior code?" "I know, and so is becoming a rogue, and leaving your Clan!" Tabbystripe hissed. Then she calmed down. "I'm sorry, I'm just sad at what's become of WindClan." Night laid her tail on Tabbystripe's shoulder symphatecally. "Don't worry, I felt the same way when I left. I'm sorry to hear that of WindClan. I saw Whisper, she's going back to WindClan today. She can help them with the loss of another WindClan cat," she said. "So, we'll be neighbors now? Come see me when you can, SwiftPack's that way." She pointed with her tail, and they said their goodbyes. Tabbystripe continued on, and finally reached Twolegplace. Kittypets jumped on fences, then saw her and smelled her forest scent, and jumped back down in fear. One cringed on the fence in fear, too scared to jump back down. "Hi,there," Tabbystripe said. "I'm Tabbystripe of WindClan, a Clan in the wild. Don't worry, we're not as scary as you think. I've left to become a kittypet. Do you know of any Twolegs looking for a cat, or who would accept me?" The kittypet got up, but would not jump down. "Yeah, I can show you some," she said. Finally she jumped down, and led the way to a Twoleg nest nearby. It was light brown and had a burgundy roof. "This looks like a nice little Twoleg nest," she commented. "Twoleg nest?" the kittypet said. "We call them houses, and so do the Twolegs. We don't live in nests at all; we aren't birds." "Really? Thanks," Tabbystripe said. "I'm Tabbystripe, will I see you around?" "Sure," the cat said. "You won't keep that name long, I'm sure. I'm Nellie, see you." Then she trotted off. Tabbystripe took in a breath and went up to the nest. She began scratching lightly at the door to make noise, and meowing. A twoleg opened the door. It was a female, and she smiled. She picked up Tabbystripe lightly and held her, bringing her in. Tabbystripe's head spun. It was so new in here. But everything looked nice, and cozy. She began to purr. Then another Twoleg came. Then it pet Tabbystripe. She couldn't make out what they were saying completely but she heard. "Mumble mumble mumble tabby markings. mumble mumble mumble it has stripes." "Yeah, stripes mumble mumble mumble Like your name, Stripes? mumble mumble." Tabbystripe had purred. And then they'd call her Stripes. So it was her name, Stripes.
*claps hand excitedly while jumping up and down* YAY ME!!! =D

We all have our moments: A moment to cry, a moment to laugh. A moment to be held, a moment to be let go. A moment to be sad for not having what we want, and a moment to be happy with what we got.
Yeah, we all have those moments. And I advise you not to put them to waste.
The next day a familiar cat came by. Stripes remembered her, she was from another Clan, and was once a fellow medicine cat. "Shatterstep! What are you doing here?" Stripes asked. "I'm not Shatterstep, I left my Clan now. I'm a rogue, now, why are you near this little house?" the cat, once Shatterstep, asked. Stripes was about to reply, when Shatterstep's eyes fell onto her collar. "Tabbystripe!" she gasped. "You're a kittypet?" "Yes," Stripes replied evenly. "I'm Stripes, now, that's what my Twolegs call me." Shatterstep was quiet for a while. Then she sighed. "Stripes..." she began. "Do you like being a kittypet?" "Yes," Stripes replied, without hesitation, "I do like it." Shatterstep did not reply. She looked like she was in thought as she stared at the ground. Finally she looked up, there was a glow in her eye, as if she'd made a decision that would change a lot. "I want to live with you and your Twolegs, in your home," she said. Stripes smiled. "That's great! Come on, let me introduce them to you." Shatterstep followed Stripes as they made their way toward the house. "Wait!" a voice said. Another familiar cat ran out of the bushes, out of breath. "I heard everything you said, it's me Shadow. I was in WindClan with you, Stripes, I was Hawkshadow, remember? I want to live here, too." Stripes looked at Shatterstep questoningly. "I'm fine with it," she replied. "Alright, come on, Shadow," Stripes said. The three cats padded up to the door. Stripes scratched at the door. A Twoleg came and opened it up. She gasped at the sight of the two cats. Then she picked them up, and pet them gently. They purred and the Twoleg put them down. she called out something, and another Twoleg came, and they talked. Then the first twoleg pointed at Shatterstep. "Eisley," then she pointed at Shadow, "Shadow." "They chose a good name for you," Stripes said jokingly to Shadow, since the Twolegs picked the same name. Stripes showed them around the house, and her spirits lifted at living with her two friends.
