Mothdust sighed heavily and glanced at his apprentice, "Could... could you possibly tell me what is wrong with her," he glanced away in shame, "I am not quite sure acctually. Perhaps its just exhaustion but i want a second oppionion.
"I'm no miracle worker." She sighed, padding up to Rosestar. She sniffed her curiously. "All I can see, is that she has a headache." Birchpaw shrugged, "Perhaps some Feaverfew. It's used to lower a feaver, but also works well for headaches."

Mothdust's ears twitched uncomfortably. By the sound of things he was the apprentice. He sighed and checked the bundle of herbs he had brought. He searched it twice and there was no feverfew. He growled at his stupidity and went back to the den. It was amazing the clan had survived as long as it had with him in charge of the medicine cat job. He grabbed the herb in his mouth and padded back to Rosestar. He dropped it in front of her, "Alright here it is."
Birchpaw stared at her paws. "I didn't know that." She whispered. She had never learned that. She didn't remember it,, it was a spur of the moment thing. Did Feaverfew really help Headaches? 'Yes' A voice in her head said. She trusted herself.

Mothdust sighed and shook his head, "Yes feverfew does help headaches. my mentor mentioned it once. Very well done Birchpaw." he turned to her. That same odd feeling washed over him. She was so achingly familiar that it hurt. His heart lurched. He knew that face. It was to similar to hers. The one cat in the world he had wished never had to die. He turned from her with a sigh.
"I hope she'll be," Tabbystripe murmured after a long time to Mothdust. She hoped she didnt sound like she was blaming Mothdust or anything, so she quickly turned to him. "Whatever happens happens, it's StarClan's will, no one can stop it." She looked at Birchpaw. "I'm sure your apprentice will help take care fo the Clan, now, too," she praised the young cat. "She all ready is learning herbs."
Mothdust nodded softly, "Birchpaw make sure she takes the herbs. I am going to go talk to Starclan." He turned and muttered under his breath, "I dont care if they want to talk back but they will listen to me," his voice was low and dark. His heart flared with the courage of a warrior. He wanted to know just why he couldnt remeber the herbs that well, or why his diagnosus wasnt very accurate. He wanted to know why they wouldnt talk to him. He was going to force them to talk. Even if he had to fight Starlcan for the information.
Tabbystripe's praising smile turned into a concerned frown as she turned to see Mothdust leave. she padded a few steps, out of earshot of Birchpaw. "Mothdust, are you sure your all right?" she murmured softly to her friend.
Mothdust shook his head soflty, "I have to find out why i cant get this medicine cat thing down. I just seem right. i cant ever get the right herbs. I forget things like that easily. I have to know what is going on." He looked up at his friend. "I have to talk to them. Even if they dont want to."
