OOC: Just as long as the dialog didn't take up the whole post... =/
IC: Arkana pulled on the reins of his steed -- the largest Land Shark in existence -- as it demolished the jeep and the two women within it. His mirror-like face reflected what moonlight there was, and his navy blue armor barely visible. The Demon Prophet of Greed snatched up an orb from the innards of his armor. Using it, he summoned one of the four Land Sharks in the area to him, ordering it to open its jaws.
"How very... interesting," he murmured, his voice echoing like the breeze in your hair. Even Deyna, hidden behind his rock, could hear the malice in it.
In Arkana's palm sat a piece of one of the girl's weapon. It was nearly impossible to tell what it was; but since the Prophet seemed to think it was important, it probably was. With a whistle, he turned his group of demons around, leading them back to the main rally point.
IC: Jake ran up to the controll center, where he was expecting to see Deyna. Upon arrival, he found that the football player was not there. Walking up to te nearest man, he asked, "Have you seen Deyna Grey?" The man shook his head, turning back to his work. "Perhaps he's in the med bay," he said. "Maybe..," Jake said, becoming slightly worried.
IC: Deyna watched the large dark colored sharks swim away in the sand. As soon as they were out of sight, he started running back the direction he had come from. He continuosly checked behind him to make sure that the sharks weren't chasing him. Deyna had slown down to a walk quite a while before the large fortress had come into sight. He started jogging so he would arrive home faster. Deyna pointed his gun up to the sky and fired a couple short bursts as he contiued jogging towards the fortress, hoping someone would hear him.
IC: Jake rushed onto the wall as he heard gunshots from outside. He could see a figure running towards the fortress. Taking out his scope, he checked who it was... "Deyna?" Jake gasped, tearing down the stairs to the gate. Finally arriving, he quickly began opening the gates. "Hurry up!" he yelled. "Before any demons come!"
Deyna acknowledged this, running full speed towards the door. Jake watched him run, preparing the close the gate as soon as his friend was inside. In the distance, he could see a rising dust cloud moving towards the fortress. The color in his face left -- demons!
"Quickly!" he yelled. Deyna tore through the opening, just as the monsters bore down on them. Jake closed the gate, and stepped back as the Land Shark's head slammed into the gate. "That... was close," Deyna gasped, leaning against the wall. "Why the heck were you out there anyway?" Jake demanded, wiping his brow. "You could've been killed!"
IC: "It was Sam and Mystery's idea. They wantd to catch the demons by surprise, so we took a jeep. One of those things came up below us. I got knocked out of the jeep. Another one appeared and they both tore the jeep to shreds. Sam and Mystery never got out." Deyna began moving towards the med bay. The various scrapes and bruises he got were starting to hurt more.
IC: "Great," Jake said. "Our first two causualties... That hasn't happened since before we even established the base." He followed Eyna to the med bay, casting a wary look at the gate. The resounding sounds of a skull on metal continued. He wondered whether or not the demons look continue until they broke through... He shook his head doubtfully. They would stop soon... They had to... Jake gripped his gun tightly. He would not be caught unprepared again.
IC: Arkana held out a ahnd, signaling for the Land Sharks to cease their attack. Holding up the piece of Mystery's gun that he had retrieved, he placed his other hand over it, chanting.
IC: Jake stared suspicsiously at the dented gate. His eyes widened as he realized what was about to happen right before it did. "RUN!" he shouted to everyone, as they all began to move towards the garages.
IC: BAM! Within a moment, the doors had been blasted off of their hinges. Arkana stood for a moment as the dust cleared, watching through the dust as the humans scrambled to get to safety -- not that there was anywhere safe to go. "ATTACK!" he yelled. The troops around him charged forward, Land Sharks ripping through buildings, zombies and puppeteers moving to zombify groups of humans, and other monsters just moving to create chaos. Gyroul stood next to Arkana, considering whether or not to charge. "Go have some fun," Arkana said to him, as he willed his steed to move forward.
IC: Jake tore through the streets, Deyna, Claire and several others behind him. They were heading towards the sewers, where they would be able to use the Cariers there to get to another town. Jake and Deyna lifted the lid to the manhole, beckoning for everyone to get in, as a group of around fifteen zombies began moving in their direction, followed by a puppeteer.
