Part 2

Joshua

I looked over at her. She was painted the ocean, with a broken lighthouse. She put so much meaning into her painting. No one else understood her the way I did. And no one even knew the true way I felt about her. Brian, my best friend, always asks why I don't date other girls. I tell him I'm waiting for her. But of course, he doesn't know who her is. No one does. Except me. Everything she does intrigues me. The way she laughs, the way she speaks, the way she carries herself so well. She wasn't the most popular girl in school and he liked that. He liked that fact that she wasn't concieted about herself. Because she was extremely beautiful. The most beautiful girl he had ever seen in his entire life. He looked at her. The way her paint brush flowed over the canvas with ease. He smiled to himself. He felt someone hit his back as they passed by.

"Hey Josh,"

"Hey man," he said not knowing who exactly he was talking to. He couldn't take his eyes off her. She looked his direction and caught him staring. He quickly looked back at his painting of a sunset. His heart skipped a beat. He focused on his painting throughout the rest of the class.

Lunch time had come and the morning classes were over. Josh sat with his usual crew at lunch he had a hamburger and fries. They talked about the usual girls and everything. Josh leaned back and Tiffany came up and sat on his lap.

"Hey Joshy, hows my favortie guy?" She asked tracing his face with a finger.

"Fine, Tiffany." He sad getting her off of him. No doubt Tiffany was hott. Blonde hair, blue eyes, nice figure. Basically your Malibu Barbie. But that was all she was too him. She wasn't beautiful. Beautiful to him was way better than just saying a girl was hott. She was without doubt the most popular girl in school. She was part of every cool club and she was basically the schools princess.

"Well, I'm having a costume party next week do you want to come?" She asked rather girlishly. "Everyone in the school is invited. Even the...geeks." She said almost disgustedly. Josh rolled his eyes.

"I will think about it." He mumbled.

That seemed to brighten Tiffany.

"See ya there!" She said and got up to go back to her reserved table.

Josh looked at his friends. "You guys going?"

"Yep," Kevin said. "Dude, everyone is in costume, no one will recognize anyone, we can chill with all the ladies in the place and they won't even know who we are!"

Josh rolled his eyes. "Thats all you think about?" Josh got up and threw his tray away. Passing Jessica while doing so. His heart sped up, but he ignored her. He just couldn't bring himself to say aything to her. He watched her fluid movements as she walked away from the trash can. She picked up her bag easily and began to exit the cafeteria. No doubt on her way to her next class. He sighed. He had to figure out a way to talk to her. Even though it was hard, it was killing him not hearing her talk to him.

He followed her to their next class. They were the only two in the room. He swallowed. "Hey you going to that costume party next week at Tiffany's?"

She looked up at him and gave him a look that seemed to say, You actually said something.

She shrugged. "I'm not sure yet." She said in a bored tone.

He didn't know what else to say so he sat in the desk beside her and tapped his pencil on it. He looked over at what she was doing and saw she was sketching something out on a piece of paper. It was a heart. It had a ribbon around it that said 'Someday.' He knew what It meant, he could read her drawings like that. He smiled and watched as everyone came into the class.

RE: A Country Girl and a City Boy. PART 3 AND 4 UP!

Jessica

She tried to pay attention in Algebra. But she couldn't. She was too busy thinking about why Josh had decided to ask her that. Wait, why the heck did she even care wether he talked to her or not? She didn't he was selfish and conceited. The bell rang and she was the first one out of the room.

It was the last class of the day. The class she actually got to talk to her best friend Jamie.

"He talked to you?" Jamie asked popping her gum.

"Yeah, weird right? I don't understand why he did, but it doesn't matter, he was probably just trying to start a conversation because we were the only two in the room." Jessica looked at her friend and smiled to herself. She was so cute. She had dark black hair with one big pink chunk of side-bangs. Her syle was deffinatly her own and she loved that about her. She wasn't scared to be different.

"Well," Jamie replied, "It looks like your making a big deal about him talking to you."

"Whats that suppossed to mean?" She asked.

"Well, do you like him?"

Jessica laughed. "Please! He is not the least bit romantic, he is so full of himself, not my kinda guy."

Jamie shrugged, "Ok. WHatever sails your ship hon," She said smiling.

Jess rolled her eyes. "Whatever."

The Final bell rang. Jessica piled onto the bus and sat in her usual seat. She looked out the window the entire ride home. Watching Josh get off without even looking at her. She thought about what Jamie had asked. She shook her head. She didn't like him. Not one bit. She watched as her bus stop came into view. She got off and began the walk home.

Joshua

Josh got off the bus and went straight into the house. He set all of his school stuff down and changed clothes. He walked into the Kitchen where his mom was.

"Hey mom, does Uncle Robby still own those horses out there?" His mom nodded and he walked out the door.

He got in his car and drove as fast as he could down the old country road. Passing Jessica as he went. He arrived at the stalls nd saw his Uncle already had one of the horses saddled up.

"Hey Uncle Robby, mind if I borrow that horse to go for a ride?"

"Not at all." His uncle said with a smile.

Josh took the horse and galloped out of the stable. He looked down the long dirt road that met at the actual road. He saw Jessica coming up to it. He raced the horse out to the road and started to walk beside her. He saw her look up at him confused.

"Hi," he said smiling.

"H-hi." She said. Looking bcak straight ahead.

"Nice horse huh?" He asked, patting the back of the horse.

Jessica nodded, "She is." She looked the horse over, "Whats her name?"

"Saphire." He said simply.

They walked on with silence for a few minutes. "Can I show you something?" He asked extending his hand.

Jessica hesitated.

"Come on, I don't bite, I promise." He said smiling.

Jessica smiled at him. That made him dizzy. Her smile was so perfect. He though to himself. She took his hand and electricity passed through him. He helped her up onto the horse so that she was sitting in front of him. He put his arms around her sides and took hold of the reins. "Ready?" He whispered into her hair. Trying to keep his cool. She nodded and he turned the horse back to go down the dirt road. They rode for no more than five minutes when he stopped. "You have to close your eyes." He said.

Jessica looked back at him, "What?"

"You have to close your eyes." He repeated. "No peeking." Her eyes so close to his, oh man, he was mezmerized. Her beautiful peircing gray eyes were like crystal, there was so much he didn't know about her, so much in her eyes that had been seen that shouldn't have, there was hurt in them, pain and brokeness, a certain longing for someone to be there for her. But there was also life. Life in her like he had ever seen in anyone else. It took his breath away.

She turned and closed her eyes. He walked the horse through the woods a little farther. He got off then helped her off. He put his hands over her eyes and walked her down a small hill. "we're here." He whispered and took his hands off her eyes. She looked around. He could tell she was amazed. Before them, was a beautiful river. With bright green all round. The sun was setting to the light was perfect.

"Its...its beautiful." She breathed. He smiled. He knew she would find intrest in this. She turned to him.

"Why?" She asked.

Confused Josh asled, "Why what?"

"Why are you showing me this?"

"I thought you would appreciate it...I know you like stuff like this an-"

"Oh so you suddenly know what I like and don't like? You suddenly want to talk to me after two years of knowing each other?" She asked hurt.

"Look, Jessica I'm sorry I-" She put her hand up.

"Don't worry about it." She started to run down the dirt road. Josh sighed. He hadn't meant to hurt her. He really hadn't, thats the last thing he wanted.

Yay! Very good! *laughs at Josh* Most girls I know are sensitive. Keep that in mind, Joshie.
I am a figment of your imagination *not leaving until later tonight*
