As most of the WindClan cats know, the old WindClan roleplay was closed. Fireheart and I were realyl sad about it, and we wrote through roleplaying, the rest of it together. But I'll start from the beginning of the story, so even if u arent in the rp u can read it. :) If you dont want to be in here and were in the old rp post and I'll take you out. This is more from Tabbypaw's point of view, but focuses on both Tabbypaw and Fireheart the most, and Ebonycloud is also one of the main characters, also.
Chapter One: Tabbypaw rushed ahead of Ebonycloud. They were collecting Marigold, and Ebonycloud set down a challenge to the young apprentice: if Tabbypaw can collect the most Marigold, she gets Ebonycloud's Share of freshkill. Tabbypaw looked behind her; Ebonycloud was pretty far back, she noted proudly. She was so happy with herself, though, she passed right by a thick patch of Marigold. She came to a sudden stop eventually, when a faintly familiar smell filled her nose. Opening her mouth slightly to taste the air, sniffing once more, she detected the scent was dog. She stepped back a few steps and looked around for dog. Suddenly a large shadow loomed over the apprentice, belonging to a dog, baring long, sharp teeth. "Tabbypaw, run!" Tabbypaw hardly heard Ebonycloud's call. She jumped to her paws to run, but stumbled to the ground. A flash of blurred black fur passed over her as Ebonycloud jumped onto the dog and sank teeth into its shoulder. "Go get help!" she cried. Tabbypaw was too in shock, staring up, frightened, at the dog. "Run, Tabbypaw!" came her earsplitting cry. Tabbypaw still only backed away a few steps from the massive dog. She snapped out of the shock she was in when Fireleaf leaped through the bushes. "There you are!" he said. Fireleaf had been on a hunting patrol that morning, he was a medicine cat apprentice but the Clan needed an extra set of paws for prey. He must've heard Ebonycloud's voice and ran over. Fireleaf lept onto the dog, and the dog whipped his neck around and snapped at Fireleaf's ear, thankfully only managing to nip it. Tabbypaw raced to WindClan camp. As she ran in, she yowled, "Help!" Ebonycloud and Fireleaf needed immediate help, though. Ebonycloud fell to the ground. She tried to jump to her paws, but her aching leg screamed protest. Fireleaf tried to help Ebonycloud, but the dog snapped at him, and he knew he just had to fight the dog, and try to keep it away from hurting Ebonycloud any more. He jumped onto the dog's back, hanging on with sharp claws. The dog bent its head down to lunge at Ebonycloud, but she nipped its nose sharply. "Go away!" she hissed fiercely. The dog yelped as she let go of his nose, and fled. Ebonycloud fell to the ground. "Fireleaf...get cobwebs quickly!" she yowled, while back at camp Tabbypaw was trying to wuickly explain what was happening. Fireleaf ran and looked for cobwebs. He came back with a wad of some, and Ebonycloud took them and pressed them on her injured leg, hoping it would be enough for now. "We have to get back to camp," Ebonycloud murmured, her voice hoarse. Fireleaf nodded and gently lifted her onto his back, hoping Ebonycloud would be okay until they got back. The world grew hazy and blurred around Ebonycloud, though, and worry was thick in the air of whether or not Ebonycloud would make it back to camp.
