We all have our moments: A moment to cry, a moment to laugh. A moment to be held, a moment to be let go. A moment to be sad for not having what we want, and a moment to be happy with what we got.
Yeah, we all have those moments. And I advise you not to put them to waste.
"Oh my god." I groaned, running a hand through my hair, "This is unbelievable!"
"Calm down. You're supposed to perform tomorrow. You have no reason to be upset." My handler waved his hand at me, as if dismissing the thought. I sunk down to the ground, my back up against my tour bus.
"I'm going on my third all-year tour. I'm the most famous teen star in the United States. I was trying to write a new song, and you." I pointed at the driver laid out on the side of the road. "You got us lost in the middle of the night! I can't believe it! Then I try to take control, because I actually know how to use a GPS, and you go and crash the bus. You crashed my tour bus!" I kicked the unconscious driver in the side.
"I am out of here." I said under my breath, grabbing my guitar. I took the song I had been working on and folded it up, slipping it into my pocket. I rushed into the woods.
"What's wrong with you, my star? Dont leave! You cant leave!" My handler yelled after me, jumping away from a squirrel as if it were on fire.
I smiled and turned around, giving him my signature move; I folded my middle and ring fingers over my thumb. "Rock off." I spat and turned around. I could not believe what had happened.
"That idiot." I hissed under my breath. I pushed through the underbrush in the dark, suddenly wondering if I should have stayed. I felt a pang of fear as I realized I was lost. A GPS would have really helped. Taking out my cell phone, I checked for service.
"Of course." I groaned as I saw the empty bars. Not only did I have no service, but my cell was dead.
I walked towards what I thought was the middle of the forest, but with my luck for that day, It could be hours till I got there.
I suddenly heard laughing.
Either I was going crazy, or there was somebody in the woods with me. I rushed instinctively to the sound, hoping somebody could help me. Then I heard splashing. Was there water? I ran faster, and pushed through a thick bush.
The ground suddenly slid from under me, and I found myself falling. I tried to take a deep breath to calm myself, but my mouth filled with water. I surfaced and took the breath my lungs needed, coughing up the water I'd inhaled. Then I heard a different sound.
The two voices separated, and one had become a scream. I wiped my hair back and opened my eyes. There were two girls in bikinis, staring at me wide-eyed.
"Oh my god." One of them said, her wide green eyes sparkling, "You're Erik Riley!" She screeched, and I smiled. Finally, someone that could help me. Then I realized I still had my guitar on. I pulled it off, cursing. The strings hit my head, and I threw it to the side. One of the strings snapped.
"Why are you in my pool?" The other one asked, her friend still star-struck.
"Just dropping in." I smiled at her, knowing my charm would work.
"That's Random." She looked at me funny, "Whoever you are, you need to leave before you wake my parents up."
I stared at her, confused. "What?" I said in shock.
"Do I need to spell it out for you?" She asked, obviously annoyed "Get. Out. Of. My. Yard." She sure sounded pissed.
"Are you kidding me?" I yelled, "I'm the teen pop sensation! I'm every girls dream! I'm Erik Riley!"
"Quiet!" She hissed, swimming to me and slapping her hand tightly over my mouth, "If my parents wake up, they'll kill me and call the cops!"
Even though she seemed to hate me, I enjoyed the closeness of her body. She looked hot in a light blue bikini, while her friend wore a pink one. I was more interested in the one that was a couple of inches away from my face. Her eyes seemed luminescent; an icy blue in the moonlight. Her hair was raven black, and flowed behind her, even in the water. She had blue streaks to match her eyes, framing her face.
"Stop checking me out." She hissed, coming closer to my face, "It's not gonna happen." She broke away from me and before I knew what was happening, I was under water again.
Wow, I thought, She really hates me.
