The Secret life of Bees, by Sue Monk Kidd Ahem, yeah... I read the book. xD Set in South Carolina in 1964, The Secret Life of Bees tells the story of Lily Owens, whose life is shaped by her blurred memory of the afternoon of her mother's accidental death. When Lily's black "stand-in mother," Rosaleen, insults three racists in town, they escape to Tiburon, South Carolina. n this novel, Lily is lonely at home and feels that she is unloved by her father, T. Ray. However, with the help of August Boatwright, she is able to find that she has many people that love and care for her. Lily is faced with trying to find out who she is because at her home she is not allowed to ask questions about her past. Lily does this in many ways, such as writing down her thoughts in a notebook, and finding her first love, Zachary Taylor. She finds out who she really is when she learns about her mother's past. Civil Rights & Racism, Religion, Feminism. The secret life of bees is an awesome portrayal of mother hood.
So, yeah, A GOOD BOOK THAT YOU MUST REEEEAAAADD~ You will be drawn to this book like bees are to honey. >D *lol*
The Artemis Fowl series, By Eoin Colfer Neeh, of course I would suggest this. xD Artemis, the main character, is a ruthless and extremely intelligent young criminal whose main goal is the acquisition of money through a variety of often illegal schemes (although his values change towards the 5th book). The author summed up the series as: "Die Hard with fairies." There are six novels in the series.
:D Lolz, Artemis is hacking awesome.
Ouran High school Host Club series, by Bisco Hatori. Well, not really a book. It's one of those really awesome japanese mangas. xD Haruhi Fujioka is a scholarship student at Ouran High School, a fictional school located in Bunky, Tokyo. Because of the superlative cost of the school uniform, Haruhi resorts to wearing long slacks, polo shirts and vests. Combined with her large glasses and tousled short hair, Haruhi's look causes her to be confused for a boy. Looking for a quiet place to study, Haruhi stumbles upon the Third Music Room, the working place of the Ouran Host Club, a group of six extremely attractive male students (Takashi Morinozuka, called "Mori"; Mitsukuni Haninozuka, called "Honey"; twins Kaoru and Hikaru Hitachiin; Tamaki Suou, and Kyoya Ootori) who spend their time charming and entertaining the school's girls for profit. During their first meeting, Haruhi accidentally knocks over and breaks a vase valued at ¥8,000,000, estimated to be US$80,000. In order to pay off the large debt, Haruhi is employed as the club's "dog" and is constantly ordered to do menial tasks like serving food or cleaning up. The club president, Tamaki Suou, without knowing she is really a girl, promotes Haruhi to "host" as soon as he discovers her potential. Even after the truth comes out in the Club, Haruhi continues the charade and is allowed to pay off the rest of her debt working as a host; in order to accomplish this, Haruhi conceals her true identity/gender from the customers and the school.
If you like romantic comedies and crazy, wacky characters, then you'll love this. xD *coughbutyoumaynotlikeKyouyacoughcough*
WEEEEEEEEEE~ Yes, I'm an otaku. [ "geek"] *giggle*

Inkheart series - Read it. naow. It is better than Twilight. Yes, I said it. Better than Twilight. The book is by Cornelia Funke. (Her last name is pronounced, 'funk'.) I believe the author is from somewhere in Europe where they don't speak English, because some sentences are VERY confusing. I highly recommend it, though.
It is the story of Meggie and her father Mo. No more, or I'll wreck it for you. :3 It is fantastic, though. And yes, BETTER THAN TWILIGHT. BITE ME.

Omg I've been wanting to read those books since the movie came out! Haven't seen the movie, but I read the summary and plot and stuff and it sounds great, I'm glad you reccomend it! And, LOL, I hate when people get mad if you mention that something that's twilight is worse than something else. Like, I like Twilight, but honestly, it's kinda freaky sometimes, its like the author's in love with her character to the innapropriate point. xD

@Tabbers :: I agree all the way, dear. Awesome books; best everrrrrrrr... Twilight is dull in comparrison to Inkheart.
@Lily :: Read it! I trust you, it's a good book. Some sentences may be awkward, though, because Cornelia's book, Inkheart, was translated from another language, I think.
