Newmoon looked up at the lean tom, she smiled a real smile this time and mewed "Hunting? I'd love to!" She did'nt mean to say the word love, because that word just sent shivers down her spine. She jumped up and looked playful all of a sudden, she looked at Hiddenshadow and meowed "You're really asking me? Dang! That's a start!" As you could tell already, when Newmoon's happy, her energy of an apprentice comes back. Her light blue eyes were hiding nothing, Newmoon was happy, her mood just changed quickly.

"What should I do mentor?" Shadowpaw asked Ashpool in his small, quiet voice. He sat down with his tail wrapped around his small paws. The brown tip of his tail twitching slightly with anticipation at his mentor's reply. He definitely wanted to prove himself dispite his small size. He waited patiently looking up at Ashpool with his big blue eyes.

Blackfox grinned largely, "Feels wonderful? Exciting? Absolutly fantastic? Come on Sweetheart you have got to give me more to work with." He chuckled deeply. "Lets hurry and get you back to camp. It will be better for your paws that way." He easily walked beside her letting their peltsrely heavily on the other. His grin stayed plastered on his face and his eyes were narrowed, not on purpose though.

Hiddenshadow laughed. "Wow, that was a sudden mood change," he teased. He slowly began to pad toward the camp entrance. "Come on!," he called, "we don't have all day!" He didn't understand why he felt so happy and cheerful, unlike his usual sullen self.
He stopped and waited for the she-cat to follow, feeling impatient.

Newmoon smiled and galloped over to him, she giggled slightly as she got to him, she bumped his shoulder when she was right at his side, she mewed "So, what you planin' to catch?" She looked at him with her glossy blue eyes, her eyes showed nothing but pure comfort and happiness. She kept each pawstep even and slow for Hiddenshadow, she teased "Could you go any faster? All this slow walk is making me tired!" She laughed and started to run, she looked behind her and meowed to him "Come on!"

"Mmm," he mumbled. "I'd rather walk." But as she soon got far ahead, he began to run as fast as his legs could take him. He couldn't outrun her, for they were equal in speed. He laughed with happiness and turned his head to look at the she-cat. He suddenly skidded to a halt. "Hey, did we come here for racing or to hunt?" He called to Newmoon, who was already turning into a speck in the distance. Great StarClan, she's fast, he thought.

"We'll take our patrol across to the DarkClan border." Ashpool nodded to Shadowpaw, speaking to the whole patrol rather than just his apprentice. "Who's doing what? I could take wto cats with me for the patrol. How about Blackfox and Hazelwing. If there's anyone else who's not those who were mentioned, how about you go on a hunting patrol?" He nodded at the cats, seeing if there was nothing else to say. Of course, he was in the middle of being a senior warrior, and a new warrior, so he wasn't in much of a position to give orders; but someone had to pull this mass of cats togeather to do something. With a flick of his tail, the border patrol he'd summoned followed him. He sensed the comfort in his sister's pelt. Although she had come to get herbs, she had no problem doing a real patrol.

Once they were a ways a way from the other cats, Ashpool turned to his apprentice. The border was near. "Can you smell anything?" He asked his apprentice.

Blackfox stared after Ashpool with somewhat of a grimace. "I am sorry Ivy, i have to go with him. Can you make it back to camp alone?" He gave her a sheepish grin. Without waiting for an answer he pulled away and bounded after Ashpool. His white paws chured against teh ground in his odd way. "Wait up!" He called out.
