"Yeah we ate already" Laci said sitting down in the chair across the room watching TV

Tam fixed her hair and put a black rose clip in it. She had on a pair of black skinny jeans and a red plaid shirt whith a small black bow on the top with lace for straps and out lining the top and bottom. She slipped on some neon orange socks put her converse on and walked down stairs after fixing her make up. She sat on the oppisite side of the couch from Burn and put her feet up. "So what was it you wanted?"

"I was worndering if you would go to the dance tomorrow night. It's not that I like you or anything, it's because, uhhh....... My charm is to good for anyone." He did a quick save. "There's noone who would go with me." he mumbled under his breath. He put his hand on his chin. "So what do you say?"

Tam looked at him and said "Did you forget already?" she felt hurt "how could you forget? My play is tomarrow night the same time as the dance." She looked away from him and then looked back "You said you would be there"she whispered.

Laci walked passed him and said "I've never seen her like this. She hangs on every word you say. She might even love you but that's besides the point. If you brake her heart or hurt her in anyway I'll brake your face and you can count on that"she whispered it so Tam couldn't hear her. She then walked off

Burn raised one eyebrow. "I kinda like here better than you." He said playing around. "The next dance will only be for the seniors. you can do the play next year. This dance has free junk they give away when nobody else wants it. It's an once in a lifetime chance!" He said begging. A smal noise was heard from the box behind him.

Tam looked at him "Your so selfish all you think about is what can you get out of it. You never once stopped to put someone else before you. You want to talk about a once in a life time chnace? This play is a once in a life time chance. Talent scouts from big time companies and model agents will be there. This could be my big brake. All I wanted was for you to come and share it with me but thats to much to ask for i guess. You want stuff thrown at you? Here"she took off her shoe and threw it at him before running off. "I never want to see you again don't bother coming to the play I don't want you there anyway"she called bahind her.

Laci grabbed the cake shoved it at Burn along with the present and pushed him out the door slamming it in his face and locking it. She waslked up the stairs to find Tam looked in her room.

He opened the present box. "Sorry Kuro-puu. You're coming home with me." He felt something wet fall down his cheek. It was a tear. H walked home and into his bedroom. "All I really wanted was to dance with her." Burn had tears streaming down his face. He had walked into his closet and sat in a special corner when he was little. He had called it the crying corner. He slammed the closet door. He stared to cry.

Tam was under her bed with a blue elephant stuffed in her mouth so it muffled her screams of frustration. She stopped screaming and cried. Millions of questions ran through her head as she layed under the bed in a ball crying.

Laci sent Burn a message. She got the number from Tam's phone.

Laci~ Your killing her you know that?

she hit send and sat down on the couch again

A buzz can from bur's pocket. He flipped open the phone.


Burn~ No. But never ever EVER Tell her this, I love her. I get this feeling like i wanna kiss her. It's been that way since i became fourteen. We had been friends since preschool. All I wanted was to dance with her before I move. I'm Moving this saturday. but don't tell her i'm moving. I only told her about the junk because i wanted her to be intrested. This is only a one in a lifetime chance to dance with her before i leave. after monday i'll be out of school and be packing for the week.


he clicked send then closed his phone. He buirried his face in his knees.

Laci gasped as she read it. She wanted to tell Tam she felt like she needed to but she couldn't go against his word. Wait of course she can. Laci text him back

Laci~ Why are you telling me this? Why aren't you telling her? If you leave with out saying anything to her it will kill her I don't think she could handle it.

Laci hit send then waited for his reply

Burn hanged it up and started packing. It was either jail or moving to a deferent town.
