Roger tossed a glance behind him as his group formed in to pairs. He narrowed his eyes slightly and turned his face forward. He led them deeper in to the maze like tunnels. The tunnels that only he and the group knwe well enough to walk in confidently. He walked as fast as he dared in the crowded tunnels. He did smile at the fact that Grace had already tripped once.

Cody grabbed his fot in pain, "Ow ow ow ow ow!!! Hey wait up!" He said trying to put his shoes on he barley caught up with them. "well if it wasn't for demon woman I could have caught up faster." He walked with them. "So what are we doing again?" He said looking off in a direction.

Grace laughed at the incedint, but it was done purely in nervousness. She loved that people were carefree enough to be fooling around, but secretly wished they'd be a little less rough. She didn't want to have to cary Cody around; he stunk and complained enough without adding a broken ankle. Thinking of stink, she didn;t smell that nice either. She hoped that they'd be able to find some running water, or a river. God, did she even remember the smell of a forest? She could hear the faint rustling of a brook, and the chirping of birds, but her old memories were obscured by The scene that had crouded her life for the past five years at least.

ooc: I only red a bit of the first book, but this RP kind of reminds me of the book; Uglies.

"Well atleast I'm a guy so I can stink! If I were a chick I would be all like, 'ohmygosh! i need to paint my nails pink and purple, I got a new puppy I'll name him tiny weeny!'. I'd hate to be a girl, how nasty that would be." He fake gaged after he mock all the girls. "Girls are evil." Cody said not noticing that there where girls with him.

Roger rolled his eyes as mroe complaints reached his ears. "Will you guys try to take this a little more seriously." He called back. He took everything around him seriously. He had been given the burden of keeping these guys safe. He was the oldest and that didnt make his life any easier. He had been taking care of them ever since the elderly people that had taken care of him since he was born died when he was the age of ten. For ten whole years he had been raising and taking care of them. Going to sleep hungry when there wasnt enough food to go around. Sleepin in freezing conditions because he had given his sweater to another who was cold. It had made him tough and harsh without realzing it. He hardly had a sense of humor in such a horrible life.

"Alright, whatever." Grace hissed, speeding up. Why would Cody hate girls just because they were girls? That made no sense to her. She didn't realise when she'd gotten a little past Roger. "Sorry," She laughed, flashing a small grin. She stared straight ahead, not sure of what lay ahead.
"Do you remember the Forest?" She said quietly. It seemed the topic needed to be discussed quietly for some reason. She didn't know why. "I miss the Forest." She looked around at the surrounding blackness. She could sense emptyness ahead of them.

"cheer up, Roger!" Lily Belle called playfully. "We're just excited to leave, that's all; don't be upset."
She knew Roger was just trying to help, but she wished they could get to have some fun. Unlike the perfects, they were actually capable of boredom, and he seemed to not realize that.

Roger nodded softly, "Yeah, i remember it." The forest had acctually only been a small park in the contimnated zone that still had living animals in it. Birds, mice and such. He remebered it because he had taken them there as much as possible to show them that not all the world was bad. That there was still hope. Yet the one thing Grace didnt remember was the night the angels burned it down. He had come up to see if the coast was clear but the whole parkw as on fire. Crakling with flames licking the burning trees. All that remained of that one paradise was now gone. He hadnt told them. He had only moved them to another zone.
