Christel, who had gotten out before Cody, glanced around at him as he joked lightly. She knew he was trying to keep the sadness out of his voice but Christel could see through his attempts. She hung back and waited for him then, putting a hand on his shoulder, caught his gaze for a few moments. Her normally fierce blue eyes held a touch of concern for him. After a few seconds she released his shoulder and broke her gaze from his, turning to follow the others.
"I could have gotten myself up thankyou very not!" He said with an anrgy tone. his mean gaze turned to a sad one as he looked around. The world is so dark and dim. I wornder who is next to get caught. most of our numbers have dwindled. Now there are only few who still remain. there are other besides us. He thought staring at the bulings going off in his mind. He was so wrapped up in this waste land. He could just stare at it forever. "We're all gonna get captured anyway, maybe one by one, or all of us together. But someday we will fail to find a safe home and we will be captured." He said out loud without realizing it. His tone was as cold as ice but as true as ever.

"Well if we don't kill him maybe there will be death and destruction and maybe this realm will be destroyed and the Cykarie Realm (otherwise know as the Sye Realm in the future) will have a waged war with a realm Blackfang named after himself." Ryujini said then paused. The three of them broke out laughing.
"Calm down, Cody," Lily Belle said gently. "and don't talk like that, you know we're going to accomplish this." Her voice held strong confidence, it reflected her own feelings. No matter how much she looked at the world around her, she had strong confidence that they would save themselves and the world. They had to, because she couldn't stand not being able to help the others around her. They had to get to Lark industries. They HAD to.
Christel growled in her throat inadvertently as Cody protested indignantly. She resisted the urge to whip around and yell in his face, knowing her temper wouldn't help anything. She felt a slight wave of gratitude for Lily Belle as the other girl tried to calm Cody.
Lily Belle ran up beside Christel, who Cody had yelled at. "Hello," she greeted brightly. "Are you okay? I wish he wasn't so grouchy. We're all going through the same thing as him."
Christel, straight-faced, replied in a mutter, "Yeah, I'm fine. ...Er, thanks for asking," she added, taking a stab at politeness. She glanced at Lily Belle and couldn't help smiling faintly. The girl's perkiness was slightly contagious even with the conditions they were in.
"No problem," Lily Belle said. "So, have you ever seen a forest?" Lily Belle had been curious about forests since she'd heard Roger talk of them. she still was in awe that there could ever be such a thing.
Christel let out a soft, sharp laugh. "Never," she murmured. "I sure wish...Green trees everywhere...even after seeing those picture books, I kinda fell in love with forests." She sighed. "But I don't think I'll ever see one." She paused, realizing that she had just told Lily Belle something that she had kept to herself until now.
Roger caught up with the group once they had moved in ot the shadows. "Alright! He called, " we head north, then east. About one hundred miles outisde of this zone there is another. Its called omega sector. There have been romurs that some people still live there. If we can get across the hot zones we will be safe again." Roger erfered to the angel's homes as hot zones.
Lily Belle nodded her head in agreement. "That's what I keep thinking. I want to tell myself we will see one, I want to believe theyre real, but I look around, and I can't even imagine something so....amazing could be real, could exist. And could have ever existed."
