Lake grabbed her rabbit and ran back to camp.... she smiled, it was a big rabbit. It would shurrly fill some empty bellies. When she was going she saw Star and Wind she smiled and paddded over to them, " Cna I join you?' '

Thunder crouched behind a small snowbank. A thin, bony-looking rabbit hopped out into the snow. Its fur was white, but Thunder waited; he knew a large bird would still be able to see it. Sure enough, mere moments later, a hawk swooped down and grabbed the rabbit in its talons. It beat its large wings and almost made it into the sky -- but Thunder was faster. He leapt on the hawk's back and killed it with a swift claw-swipe to it's neck. The rabbit, still struggling in the dead hawk's talons, was also dead within a heartbeat from Thunder's quick jaws; he sunk his teeth into its neck, tasting warm blood and wrinking his nose at the bitterness.
Wind once again glanced away. What was with all the she cats hanging around him today? Didnt they notice how uncool he was? At one time he could probably handle one she cat but right now with two? He was a goner. "I... I..." He stammered, "S-sure if you want." THe last part of his sentece ended in a squeak.
" Okay, are you alright? " she looked at him, " You look a littile green... " She stared at him, she was concerned. He usally was very squeky when a she cat was around....wait she cats... He must be afraid to talk to him. She smiled gentily.

Thunder scooped up the hawk and the rabbit in his jaws. He was barely able to scent the air through the prey, but he picked up Wind's scent, along with Lake's and Star's. Thunder decided to join them; they'd probably be heading back to the cave. He followed their scents and, sure enough, came up behind the threesome. Padding up beside his uncle (which was still very weird to Thunder, that Wind, who was only a few moons older than he was, could be his uncle) and set down his prey. "Am I the only one who always gets feathers stuck in my teeth when I carry birds?" Thunder wondered aloud, making strange faces and moving his tongue around to get the feathers out of his mouth.
"I am alright... must be the glow from my eyes," he laughed a little oddly trying to joke. His laugh died quickly leaving him to only stare at his large paws at the ends of his lanky legs. His green eyes turned to met his nephew. He laughed softly at what he had said but still felt rather odd standing next to him. He was only a few moons older. They had played in the nursery(since i dont know what its called in the tribe) together. HE had had tons of fun with the black cat when they were little but when they had become to-bes they had found out their relationship making things a little more than awkward.
Thunder grinned at Wind, his uncle, knowing that he was awkward with the she-cats. Thunder stepped away from Wind, surveying his body with narrowed eyes. After a few heartbeats he commented wistfully, and completely truthfully, "I wish I had your legs. I've always been jealous of the way you're built...Great for hunting...I mean, your legs are really long...it must be easier to run fast and jump higher to catch birds." Thunder's eyes trailed on Wind's long legs.
Wind felt heat flush his cheeks, "well, i suppose that is true... that is... when they arent getting tangled with one another..." He glanced down at Thunder who wasnt as tall but was still quite a good hieght. The tip of the black toms ear came to Wind's eye level and that was a good hieght for any cat. Wind knew his own legs were just a too long. The rest of his body was long as well but his legs still looked slightly to long. IF he had been born with shorter legs he wouldnt look so odd. "Well i wish i had muscles like yours Thunder. At least then my gangly legs wouldnt look so odd on me."
OOC: HEy guys =D Today is my one year aniversary of being on this forum!
Ic: Thunder couldn't help rolling his eyes. "Please...who cares if they look odd? I mean, really, looks don't matter. 'It's what's inside that counts!'" he squeaked, quoting his mother, and imitating her high voice. "Nah, I mean, I do agree with that, but what I think is that it doesn't matter what you look like as long as you can serve the Tribe your best. Your long legs help you hunt really well...even if you don't like how they look, it only matters that you use them, take advantage of them, and use them to help your skills." Thunder finished his monologue with a twitch of his ear.
Wind felt a smile creep over his face as warmth filled his chest. He laughed at the way Thunder impersonated his much older sister. "Well i suppose you are right." He grinned largely as his emerald eyes sparkled with warmth. Wind glanced down at his lanky legs and for once, admired them. He could do al sorts of things with them. He could jump high and run fast, when they werent tripping over eachother. All he had to do was practice. A stab of envy hit his heart at how cool Thunder was just now. Yet it passed easily.
