Kumiko couldn't help smiling. "You're on first-name terms with the employees here, hmm?" she asked, half-laughing. Across the table from him, she eyed the gauze he was holding to his head. "Once again...Kumiko is right," she sighed. "Here..." she pulled more out of her pocket. "The blood is starting to soak through."
"I could have gotten them"he smiled "I come here everyday before school and eat here for lunch every weekend."he said "I still think they need the button"
Marley came out and gave them their stuff. "That's gross here"she said giving him a what looked like a large pony tail holder. She fixed the gauz and put the band on his haed to hold them in place. "it wont last long and keep the hair band I don't want it back"she said.
"Thanks and will do"he said.

Kumiko totally ignored her drink as Marley walked away. Instead she just looked at Maddix, her dark eyes not blinking at all. "What an extremely eventful day," she commented lightly, with a straight face. She was replaying it all in her head in fast-forward. It was very strange...
Maddix looked at her drinking his minty goodness. He took a sip "You know I might have to get me some of these"he said drinking some more. Taking a deep breath "Nothing like Starbucks during school hours"he said smiling and looking satisfied(sp??)

Kumiko laughed lightly. Fingering the straw of her drink, she looked at Maddix, thinking. "Maddix?" she finally said, slowly, tentatively. "I've got a question for you." She paused, taking a slow breath. She wondered if she should just say "nevermind"...but she really wondered...
Maddix adjusted his bandages and then put his lips on his straw taking a sip then looked at her his eyes big. "Yes Ma'am what is it?"he asked sipping his drink again. He looked at her slightly worried about what she was going to ask him. Maddix's phone went off and ignored it. It continued to play Grow Up by Simpleplan. He knew who was texting him and he realized that it could be improtant but he didn't pick it up.

Kumiko averted her eyes, staring down at her frappuchino. "Um..." she hesitated. "Do...do you wish it was someone else sitting here besides me?" She kept her gaze down, not courageous to look in his eyes. As his phone went off she gave a small sigh. Her own phone, oddly enough, vibrated at that moment. She ignored it, not taking her attention off Maddix -- though she still avoided his eyes.
"Uhhh no"he said caught off gaurd by her question. Of course he didn't. "Humor me"he said playing with his straw. "Who else do you think I would want next to me."he asked and hoped she didn't say Jessika. His mind flew to her and cringed slightly. 'Gross'he thought She was pretty but he could never see himself dating her

Kumiko turned a deep crimson; she tilted her entire head down so her hair swung in front of her face. "Jessika, maybe," she mumbled, embarrassed. She had a suspicion that he was expecting her to say that, and she fidgeted uncomfortably.
