[I read Ebony's short story which inspired me! =) Go check it out!]
Emily stared at her dying friend, Allyson, and a tear trickled down her cheek. Allyson layed on a hospital bed, the mattress sheet messed up, the girl's face pale and her lips were red from the high fever she had. Tears trickled quickly down Emily's face. "Why does it have to be ALLYSON?" Emily asked herself. She used her sleeve to wipe away the falling teardrops. "Can't it be someone else?" Emily continued. "ANYONE!?" Emily gasped as Allyson turned her head to face her best friend. "Because God decided my time was up," Allyson barely croaked. "God wanted me to join him now!" Emily's eyes widened as her best friend spoke in a faint whisper. "But why YOU?" Emily asked. "Why can't it be someone else's time to be up?" Allyson shrugged slightly. "I dunno...." Allyson watched her best friend cry then motioned Emily to sit next to her on the bed. "Come..." Emily walked to the bed then sat. "What?" Emily asked. "When I die," Allyson said with out stopping. "Your NOT going to die!" Emily screamed. Allyson smiled slightly. "Everyone knows now I'm not going to make it," Allyson explained paitently. "BUT YOUR TALKING TO ME!" Emily wailed. "Listen. When I die, don't grieve to long. Just go on with life! And make new friends and just forget I was here," Allyson's eyes looked sad when she spoke the words. "FORGET YOU WERE HERE?" Emily screamed. "YOUR MY BEST FRIEND! HOW CAN I FORGET YOU WERE HERE????" Allyson flinched in supprise on the loudness of her friend. "Well, don't stop life just because I died." Allyson sighed. "Okay?" Emily nodded her head. "Fine." Allyson layed her head back and closed here eyes. "I'm going now," she told her friend. "Thank you for loving me and being my best friend." Allyson whispered. Then, her heart stopped bleating and she died.
