Taylor grinned. "My middle name... hm.... Jayden Alyson Channing... sounds great!" she joked. She pushed her hair back and pulled down her short shorts. Her painted purple nails matched her purple Aeropostale shirt. "You know, your name sounds ok put together, but I don't really like your middle name either, no offence," she smiled. "So wanna be friends?" she asked, blushing slightly. "I always need a friend when it comes to school, or else it's boring..." she sighed and pushed her hair back again.

Reggie was squished up against the window of the train but managed to see a new boy join them. "Well hello there!" He laughed to teh new boy. Reggie's odd eyes caught sight of the brown tabby and Ebbs sitting beside one another. Ebbs' whiskers twitched sarcastically at the tabby, but she merely gave him the same look. Ebbs' eyes were playful looking as he flicked the she cat with his fluffy black tail. "He new kid, i think they like eachother!" Reggie laughed. "I am Reginald, but just call me Reggie." He pointed to Ebbs and smiled, "This old chap is Ebbs."

Lucifer laughed. "I agree. I'm Lucifer by the way, and someone has yet to think of a nickname I like." He grimaced, remembering his sister calling him Lucy. "This is Dusky, by the way." He smiled at his cat and saw that the two were playfully flicking each other with their tails. He looked up and he grinned. "You know, you have really cool eyes by the way."

Reggie's grin grew embarrassed. "Thanks man." He glanced up at the cats to see Ebbs cuff Dusky behind the ear playfully. "Also if we come up with a good nickname for you, we will let you know." He laughed. Excitement rushed through him. The train was ready to leave and he had already made four new friends. This was the best day ever. He couldnt wait to get to the school and see what magic was going to be like.

Lucifer laughed. "So, what did your parents do when they saw the letter?" He asked, asking all at the same time, as well as Reggie alone. He was watching the cats with a smile on his face. "What kind of wands did you get?" Many questions boiled to the top of his mind, all which he wanted to ask, but he knew they would think him a chatterbox if he asked them all at once.

Jayden tried to stand up but, due to Brooke's legs, couldn't. So he only managed to raise his arms and announce loudly, "To anyone in this compartment who doesn't know, I am Jayden Nathaniel Channing!" He then looked to Lucifer and casually informed him, "My wand is cherry wood with a centaur hair in the core." He took it out of his back pocket, where his wand had been the entire time, and waved it once through the air. A stream of sparks flew out and singed Jayden's hair. His eyes grew wide as he yelped lightly, putting a hand to his head. "That wasn't smart," he said in a 'duh' sort of way, hoping to get a laugh from his new companions.

Lucifer laughed. "Mine has a pheonix and a griffon feather intertwined." He blushed a little. The old man at the shop had told him it was unique. Then he looked at all of them. "Do any of you have broomsticks?" He tried not to look at his trunk up at the top. He had a feeling that few other people had broomsticks in their first year. Instead, he focused on the cats in Reggie's lap, playing together.

Jayden's eyes widened as Lucifer mentioned his wand. "Wow, two feathers? That's awesome!" he cried. Then he sighed wistfully. "Nah...I wish I had a broom...my sister has one, she's taken me flying a little," he added excitedly. "Aria's really good at Quittitch, I wish I could play...I'm not good at flying," he admitted, then continued rapidly, "Aria has a fake Snitch, she can chase it all around and catches it really fast...she's not on the Quittitch team here but she never tried out anyways...she wants to be on a team when she gets out of Hogwarts." He finished and took a deep and obvious breath, wondering if that made any sense to the other Muggle-borns.

"Hm...That sounds cool. I think I want to play Quidditch. I mean, it sounds cool. I've never seen a game, but my mom said it was really cool when she was telling me all about us." He was glad to use the plural now that he knew what it meant. "I only had a week though. I guess my letter came really late. Anyway, my dad got all mad at my mum for even thinking of taking me and started yelling that she'd take me away from him like she almost took my sister who doesn't have powers. Then he yelled at her and almost hit my little sister who asked me to teach her magic." He began sagging lower and lower in his seat as he told the story. "I know my mum was real happy though, she is a witch herself."

Jayden felt bad for Lucifer inside, but he didn't want to make the boy feel worse by having sympathy. Instead he decided to make a joke - which was Jayden's usual way of getting out of an awkward situation. "My story's the other way around. I was the one begging my older sister to teach me magic." He snickered, then his face lightened. "I can do one spell, wanna see? Aria said they teach it like, first thing in Charms. But still!" His bright blue eyes were glowing.
