Les wasn't breathing as she walked to class. She was nervous, her grade on her test was in her bag. She moved swiftly through the hallways until she got to class, but she bumped into a guy, " I'm sorry... " she said muffled under her black and gold hoodie. " Didn't mean to do that" she said in her british accent.

Kitty shrugged as Will walked off. Farther down the hall, she saw a girl bump into him. She giggled a little, then trudged to their next class. Stupid History. She hated the teacher. The teacher hated her. It was mutual. Only the teacher had more power to express his hate. Not to mention that she sat in the second row of desks, almost at the front. This was her least favorite hour of the day, and the only possibly, marginally, okay thing was that she sat by the window. She walked in and sat down just as the bell rang, seeing that everyone was in their seats, except for maybe a single strategic underachiever, trying to be fashionably late. She'd done that once. It hadn't turned out well. She pulled out her 'History' binder. She had labeled it History, and inside it held a lot of her drawings. Just as every binder for every of her classes did. Fake labels worked wonders. She pulled out a drawing she had been working on the day before in class and knelt over to work on it again. The teacher stomped up to her, and almost shouted, "Give that to me!" Kitty lowered her head a little as she looked up at him, like a cat protecting its neck as she swept her arms around her drawing. His lip twitched, almost in a snarl and he snatched the paper from under her arms. "Give that back!" She shouted. He ignored her, walked over to the trash can, ripped up the paper into indiscernible shreds and then turned back to the class, ready to teach. She just stared at him with wide eyes, and she could feel a triumphant aura on him. She pulled her hood higher and put her head on her arms. A single silent tear fell down her cheek.

"That was not comforting either!"
"It is the way of the Creed. Usually our deaths are violent but quick."
Jenny stepped out of the girl's bathroom, hoping to see the other students, but was horrified to see that nobody was left in the halls. She ran down the hall, clutching her backpack tightly. When she got to her English room, she saw the door was already closed. She swore loudly and took a seat on a bench in the hallway. The teacher locked the door when the clock hit the exact time that class started; all late students were forced to skip. She had Band right after English luckily, so that at least made her feel better. Jenny took out her music and went over her notes afain, fingering them in the air. She took out a notebook without realizing it, and started doodling. Her doodles made no sense, but reminded her of a song, "Well we know, I'm goin' away, and how i wish, i wish it wern't so. So take this wine, and drink with me, let's delay our misery." She started shading the random lines and shapes, adding demention. They became more familiar. "Save tonight, and fight the break of dawn. Come tomarow, tomarow I'll be gone." She kept on singing, louder in the silent hallway. She never really sang, but she liked the way she could curve her voice around the notes.

Will sat in the English class thinking about why the underachievers had talked to him. His back hurt from where the odd girl had bumped in to him. Will scratched teh back of his head making his silver stripe glint slightly. The class was full and very quiet. A few underachievers were in this class as well but they kept to themselves. Will took out his binder and looked at the board nervously. Though he wasnt as nervous now that he didnt have a paranoid feeling on his back. Kitty wasnt staring at him like a piece of prey anymore and Will was glad for that. Though he did miss her mystical voice. It had calmed him last period.
