Brokenpath sniffed the air around him hesitantly. His his darted around him making sure he knew every last part of the territory around him. The woods in this part of the forest were dense and close together. The undergrowth was wild and everywhere. It would make a good place for him to hunt and fight in. With his crippled leg he would need all the help he could get. WIth a grin he limped further along, keeping an eye out for anything that looked like a den. His tail wagged back and forth happily as he discovered more things. Would this place be his? Could it be? Perhaps he could train kits and apprentices to follow the code better than the foolish cats of Dreamclan. These clan cats would learn what it meant to be a true warrior.
Brokenpath hobbled along a bit further until he came across a series of open den holes at the base of a great oak tree. A single branch extended near the bottom that would allow even him to jump on. This would be the high limb. He grinned to himself. This would be where the warriors would gather for meetings. The black tom pushed his way in to the den holes and sniffed around. It had once been a rabbit warren but now it was empty. Perfect for a clan camp. This would be the place for his new clan. What would he name this clan? Perhaps Brokenclan? No... A grin spread on his face. In honor of the legends and the gif of teh mane that was bestowed upon him, this would be Lionclan.
Wingpaw padded around and soon felt drops of rain land on his pelt. "dang it...I just started smelling his scent better but if it rains hard enough I could loose it." he shook his head. "can't give up yet..." he began to run fast as he could. "brokenpath! Where are you!" Rain poured down the sky and his scent became harder. He slipped on the damp floor and landed in the mud, staining his white pelt. "starclan! Help me!" he called. Where are you dad....no...I don't need to know that yet...what I want to know is, where are you brokenpath? He thought.

Brokenpath heard rain dropping outside of the den. He sneered slightly but it didnt matter. The tunnels in the burrow led around so that the rain couldnt get in. The tunnels led to six different chambers. One that had roots lining the wall for good herb storages. Another one was large, perhaps the warrior's den. Another one wasnt as large but still a good size. The apprentices den. Another had a small opening and would be easy to defend, the nursery. One more was a den that was big enough and spacious enough to be the elders den. Off at the very back of the warren, was a small chamber, the leaders den. Brokenpath grinned and limped to it. The darkness of the burrow felt warm to him. With a gaping yawn he slid in to the den. The soft dirt made a nice bed for now.
Wingpaw opened his eyes and stood up. He shivered as the cold wind pushed on him. Now he looked like some brown starving rouge. He walked deeper into the forest. Soon he arrived to where brokenpath was. He walked to the rabbits hole and called into it. "brokenpath!" he heard no reply. Of course, knowing brokenpath, he'd probably just ignore him. He took a few steps away from the den and laid down. He closed his eyes and began to fall asleep "I'll find him tomarow..." he murmured

Brokenpath froze as the annoying voice of Wingpaw touched his ears. The black tom snarled to himself. He once again made th awkward struggle of getting up. He stalked through his dens looking for the young tom. Perhaps it was his imagination. With a frown he surfaced to see rain pouring down. Laying down not to far away was a mud covered apprentice. "You have got to be kidding me." Brokenpath hissed. The young tom was shivering and Brokenpath would have liked to have left him out there. Rolling his eyes he towered over the tom as he slept. Kicking him harshly he hissed, "Get your tail inside before you catch greencough." Brokenpath turned and limped back to the dens.
Wingpaws ears pricked up and he lifted his head. "brokenpath!" he said with relief. He jumped up and ran after him. "I found you!" he smiled wide. "were you going to leave the clan? Were you ever going to come back? Do you hate it there? Do you really want to run away? Why?" Wingpaw stopped and walked into the old rabbits den. The one thing he really needed to ask was the main reason he searched for brokenpath, also he didn't want him to leave. He looked at brokenpath who seemed to be unhappy he was here. Should he really ask him about his dad now? Yeah... If be waits any longer brokenpath will have probably kicked him out. "do you remember my father?" he finaally asked.

Thornleaf smiled at Wingpaw and before he could answer his question, the apprentice was racing after Brokenpath, the deputy. Sighing, he went to his den. He picked up some moss, soaked it in the little pool next to his herb store, and carried it with the mouse bile to the elders' den. "Hello Greystem and Mossrock!" he called, dipping his head in greeting to the elders. "I'm here to do your ticks and to give you some water." "What happened to those lazy old apprentices?" Mossrock asked grumpily, clearily wanting more sleep. Thornleaf smiled. "Wingpaw went chasing after Brokenpath, with a hurt throat and Featherpaw got scratched... and the other apprentices are in and out of this place!" Mossrock shook his head. "Just another excuse for not doing our ticks," he mumbled under his breath. Greystem flicked her tail at Mossrock's ear and said politely, "Well, I'm glad you came cause this darn old tick behind my ear is bugging me and I can't seem to get it!" Thornleaf dipped his head and started picking off the ticks, one by one.
Brokenpath gave the white tom a frown as he tried to answer the enormous amount of questions in order, "Well first off yes, no, of course not, i am not running away, because i wanted to, and perhaps i do." He ran out of breath by teh last word. He turned in to the burrow with a tired sneer. "I am really staying here Wingpaw and there is nothing you can do or say that will make me come back. I like it here. Things are free here. No restrictions." Brokenpath gave a whistful smile. "as for you," he turned angry again, "You need to stay off Lionclan territory. You are a Dreamclan cat. Respect the code and stay in your home territory."
Wingpaw growled. "you didn't answer the last qeustion!" he looked away. "so your just ganna leave because of me, right?" he said, his voice cold. He turned the other direction back to the entrance of the den. "whatever you say, brokenpath." be murmured, trying to hold in tears of him leaving. "I'll stay away from lionclab territory if you want me to..." he walked out into the rain once again. He shivered as the mud washed off of his pelt. "I'll just be going back to dreamclan now..." he began to walk away the murmured to himself, "even though I have no idea where that is now...so much for finding out about my father. Maybe he'll come to me someday, if he knows who I am."

Brokenpath growled darkly, "Were you even listening to my answers? I listened to each of your questions and gave answers to you. I said perhaps i do know him. What does it matter to you?" Brokenpath's eyes flashed dangerously. "But be a good little kit and go back to your clan now. Go ahead and feel sorry for yourself because you dont know the cat that didnt care enough about you or your mom to stick around." The truth was, Brokenpath knew Wingpaw's father. He knew the tom very well. His crippled leg reminded him of that cat every day.
