Katelin choked on the cold salt water as she tried to stay afloat. She heard Jay say, " Look there's a dolphin... " Kate tried to paddle a little closer to the dolphin, but it clicked it's teeth together at her. She smiled and streached her hand towards it. It was a little catious at first but it finally let her pet it. " Aw it's really cute.... " she rasped. She looked at Jay and Asher and then she heard Maddie say, " Hey guys... " Kate gasped, LAND!!!! She swam as fast as she could towards it.

Asher felt a crooked smile tug at the corners of her chapped lips. "Oh, my God," she whispered as she let go of her piece of wood and crawled onto the sand. "Guys," Asher said throatily, "We're not gonna die." She knelt on the wet sand, her legs half-covered by water, and traced her finger through the sand that was their lifesaver. After a few moments, Asher flipped over and lay down flat on her back, in the sand and water. She closed her eyes and breathed deeply.
Kate dragged herself on the sand and coughed up a bunch of water. " Oh my god.... oh my god we are saved.... " she murmered. She loved the feeling of sand underneath her. She opened her eyes to the blue sky. Kate's arms were burning because of swimming so long. She looked at Asher, " We made it..... thanks for not giving up...." She smiled weakily.

"Saved? I don't exactly think so." Hikari said sharply, taking in the entire beach. A sullen silence was only broken by the wind. And even so, it was still followed by a breathy quiet. Looking uneasily around him, Hikari could only breathe heavily, attempting to catch his breath, as the others climbed up to shore. His clothes were dripping with salt water, wounds and bruises hissing with pain as he manged to put one foot in front of the other in a desperate struggle for movement. "What will we do now?" He whispered, voice choked and raspy.
Maddie struggled to her bare feet, her toes pale and swollen from the journey over. She had tiny cuts from the jagged rocks and sharp shells sprinkled throughout the ocean lining her legs, her black mini-shorts stuck tight to her thighs. She shivered, wishing she had worn some warm jeans or sweats. Every hair on her neck prickled at each fierce gust of wind that whipped her wispy brunette hair back. Even dripping wet and exhausted, she was still surprisingly pretty.
"I...I think..." Asher faltered. "Um, should we like, build a fire or something? I mean, we're all freezing and dripping wet..." She thought a moment, briefly. "Maybe half of us should build a fire, and half should look for fresh water..." She coughed suddenly, and hoarsely, proving her point of the need for water. "I mean, there's gotta be some source of fresh water somewhere, right?"
"Hikari...that was your name, right? Let the girls rest a bit..." Jay clambered out onto the sand and didn't stop going. When he hit the end of the beach, he grabbed onto a tree and pulled himself upright. "Come with me so we can find some firewood. Asher, Maddie, and Kate, could you guys find some water?" He cleared his throat yet again. "We'll meet back here in a little bit. Take your time though." He stared out into the forest, hoping that there would be a way to survive. "Did we get anything sharp from the ship?" He asked, half dreading the answer.

"If that was meant to be comforting, it was not."
"Everyone dies eventually. Once you are born, you begin to die."
"That was not comforting either!"
"It is the way of the Creed. Usually our deaths are violent but quick."
Maddie limped onto a softer mound of sand and slid her toes into its rough, grainy texture, letting the snad slip through them. She sighed, humming a song she had been learning on her violin back in her hometown. How she missed the sweet, shrill notes and the framed texture of wood sliding against the thin strings to create such a beautiful melody. The music soothed her stress and fear. Her only weakness.
Carefully, she sat up. "If it helps at all, I'm quite skilled with the arts." she informed them. "i could start planning a shelter."
EDIT: Sorry, but can I please change my name? And my personality? Haha, like Dusky, I realized I have to experience my character to fully understand her personality and stuff. And her name doesn't match the personality she has. x3 If ya'll don't mind.
Ooc: Sure Moony, go ahead! Instead of just reposting it, you could just edit the first or second post or whatever it is.
Ic: Asher suddenly remembered something as Jay asked about a sharp object. She reached behind towards the back of her hip and pulled a steak knife out of her back pocket. "Here," she said brusquely, handing it to him. "Oh, wait. I've got two." She reached around her other side and took out a second knife. "They're kinda dull. They weren't sharp enough to tear through my pocket, but you could probably sharpen them on a rock or something."
