Winterstorm nodded and turned. She and Fireleaf trotted home at a brisk pace. She was afriad of facing the ominous tom again but she found strength as she padded beside Fireleaf. The two entered camp after a while and headed for Oakstar's den. The camp was still mourning the loss of Nightshade. Winterstorm felt her heart contrist but she took a breath to steady herself.

Fireleaf swallowed and looked at winterstorm. "Come on, ill help you talk to him if you need me to." He whispered when he saw how nervous she looked. They stood infront of oakstars den. "Oakstar, may we come in?" He said in a calm voice.

Breezepaw looked up from where he was laying, next to Nightshades body. His eyes shined in the morning sun as he scanned the cats around him, looking for Winterstorm. When he spotted her with Fireleaf near Oakstars den he stood up and started walking towards the cats.He wanted to find out what had happened to the dead elder, but as he got closer he could see that she was nervous. Sitting down he waited on edge of the gathering cats.

Fireleaf saw the old tabby step out of his den infront of them. "What is it, fireleaf?" Oakstars deep voice asked. Fireleaf let out a sigh and gave winterstorm a short glance before talking. "Oakstar," Fireleaf began. "I think that the twolegs have poisoned our prey. If this is true than we will have to be careful with what we catch. And if we cant stop this...We may have to leave." Oakstar watched the warrior for a moment than gave a soft nod.

Breezepaw couldnt wait any longer. He saw Oakstar walk out of his den and Fireleaf walk toward him. Straining his ears toward the two toms he listened. His eyes widened as he listened to Fireleaf tell his leader about the two-legs, and saw Oakstar nod. Turning so he could lay his eyes on Nightshade, he sighed. What if the two-legs dont stop? What if they had to leave the forest! Whats going to happen to Windclan? Questions spinned through his mind. When he saw his mentor Hazelwing getting up from beside the dead elder he walked toward her. "Hazelwing? Do you know what happened? he asked curiously even though he knew what happened. "Im sorry Breezepaw but I have no idea. Maybe Oakstar will tell us." Sitting down both cats looked at their leader wondering what he'll do next.

Oakstar gave a long sigh and looked at fireleaf once more. "I'll tell the clan." he turned around and climbed up the highrock. "all cats old enough to catch there own prey gather here beneath the highrock," he meowed, lifted his chest high as he got ready to announce the news. As the cats gathered around the rock he looked around. "the twolegs," he began. "they are poisoning our prey. The thing that helps keep us alive. We will die without it. We either have to find a way to stop this or leave windclan." he looked down. "or we could all just die."

Sitting across the highrock next to Hazelwing, Breezepaw listened to his leader. He tried to keep his mouth shut but souldnt help but speak. "What! Those fox-brains! What are we going to do?" He saw Hazelwing look at him worriedly"Calm Down Breezepaw. We'll find a way to stop them." She looked back up at Oakstar. Breezepaw stood up and looked up questionly at his leader he was'nt going to sit down untill he knew exactly what was to be done.
