Meppe gazed at Oki in awe. He was alpha now? Somehow, Meppe didn't really like the new change. That tiny flame of adoration and affection for Thatcher was impossibly still alight and flickering. Her heart had plunged from Thatcher's reaction. Confused, Meppe padded carefully over to Oki, who was sitting in the middle of the clearing. She swiped her tail over his shoulders in a comforting fashion. "Congratulations," she barked tenderly. She didn't have the heart to say she wasn't sure about this switch of events. Her icy eyes were calm and confused.
Oki sighed. "Thanks Meppe." He looked over at her. Why did it suddenly seem like everyone thought he wouldn't be a good Alpha, or he'd screw it up, or something? It really wasn't fair at all. He hadn't even done anything wrong. To him it seemed as if the wolves of the pack just wanted to push their troubles and blame onto someone. First it was Thatcher, now it seemed to be him. Why?

"If he dies, then it will be God's will."
"If that was meant to be comforting, it was not."
"Everyone dies eventually. Once you are born, you begin to die."
"That was not comforting either!"
"It is the way of the Creed. Usually our deaths are violent but quick."
Meppe smiled, calmly skimming her tail against the soil, the sky a crisp pumpkin-orange carving into a soft pink She sighed, observing the beautiful sunset scene. Sometimes, despite all the chaos, it was refreshing just to soak up the purity of nature. Her eyes grazed over the horizon, feeling little spikes in her stomach from the closeness to Oki. She turned to him, wondering what to say.
" Okay... " She nuzzled half-heartedly him. " Let's go home, okay... " She sighed and padded off. Her eyes hurted and so she closed her eyes. She pushed herself throught the cave door and into the forest. She sighed. She looked around and started to limpe tiredly towards camp.

Nolan sighed, and turned to follow her. "Let me help you," he murmured gently, letting her lean against his side so he could support her weight as she walked.
She closed herm eyes and opened them. Her pelt brisstled. She was sort of angry but she knew he was right . She was really tired and her left sholder felt like it was on fire. " I'm sorry, I feel sick... "

Nolan picked the smaller wolf up gently in his jaws and walked quickly to camp. He set her down when he got there. "Can anyone help?" he called, looking around at the wolves. He turned to Iradisa. "What's wrong? How do you feel?"
" I feel like I'm going to... " she started to choke and then suddenly she barfed. She felt really sick. She clucted her stomach. Her head hurt. " Ow.. " she grumbled.

nolan nudged her toward the den. "Why don't you go get some rest?" He looked around for any nearby wolves that could help Iradisa, but he was pretty sure she was just tired and needed rest. Still, he was worried, and hoped she'd feel better in the morning.
Iradisa whimpered and stood up. She was tired. She paded slowly towards the den. She paddded into the den and droped to the ground. She curled up in a ball and closed her eyes. " Ow.. " she barfed again. She curled up with her ears flat on her head
