Raissa gave a soft laugh and thought, I can't tell if he's in a good modd or not... Her blind eyes glanced over to Thatcher. She couldn't hear a word from him, only the slow breathing. Hearing Meppe's steps, she smiled to the she-wolf and murmured a quiet, "Hello," to her before padding over to Thatcher. "You're not in a good mood, I take it?" she asked, sitting next to the beta, at least two tail lengths away. She was always wary of the Beta; he had a mysterious, dangerous aura about him; like he'd attack her if he got the chance.

Thatcher did not answer her. He only turned his cold green gaze in her direction for a moment. He sat in silence for a while with the young she wolf beside him. She shifted uncomfortably and Thatcher narrowed his eyes. "Why are you hanging around me?" he asked lowly. "Why dont you go play with others that will keep you entertained. Certainly, i am not that kind of wolf." He sneered slightly before sitting up straighter with his head raised proudly.
"What are you doing now? Trying to act stupid? You know I'm blind," Raissa said in a blunt voice. Her blind eyes swept over the camp, and then she blinked slowly, gesturing that there was no fun for her. She'd let the prey escape, she's hurt herself and others while playing, and drown if near water. Finally releasing her breath, she hadn't even noticed she was holding it until she almost felt faint. Her tails lazily wagged behind her as her cold, harsh gaze laid upon the Beta. He wasn't the only one that could send harsh messages through only gazes.

Thatcher gave a cold short laugh through his nose. "You can always try a verbal battle with your peers. It seems that you have had fun trying to make me feel like an idiot." Thatcher returned her cold gaze despite knowing she couldnt see. Her young eyes didnt phase him in the slightest. He had faced enemies that were almost twice his size with a gaze that was ten times harsher than his own, this young pup was nothing in his eyes. Then again, most wolves werent. "Go and abuse some other wolf with your cold eyes runt. I am sure they would at least flinch at it."
"How you came to be Beta, I will never know," murmured Raissa, standing slowly and stretching, yawning with a high squeal coming shortly after. Turning away, she gave one last harsh glance to Thatcher and padded away, stance defiant for once. Something about the Beta gave her a feeling of rebelliance and strength. Of the feeling of being strong. Maybe because she just flat out didn't like the wolf. Her tail waved as she walked back to Labelle. "He's such a grump!" she whined to her friend.

Thatcher gave a snort again before he turned his eyes back to watch the rest of the pack again. It was goign to be time to go to bed soon. Still, they had a little while to play and relax. Just because Thatcher was harsh and quite rude, didnt mean he didnt know the value of rest and bonding. The closer the wolves in this pack were, the easier it would be for them to work together. As it was, everyone got along quite well. Thatcher was the only odd man out. He shrugged and headed for his and Junpier's den. Once inside, he felt exhaustion hit him. He collapsed at the back of the small den, waiting for the betaess to come and make herself comfortable next to him. Again an odd sense of nothing hit him as he thought about her. She was moer or less like a den mate than just a mate.
Raissa passed up to Meppe slowly, and asked in her soft voice, "How come Thatcher is... so cold?" Her blind eyes were emotionless as her jaws were now clamped shut, the young she-wolf waiting to an answer. She didn't like the fact that he had become Beta, and yet he had little or no understanding of compassion towards other wolves. Her ears her tight against her skull as she stood beside Meppe.

Meppe gazed at Thatcher as he walked away. His wispy tail stroked the soil with every thumping step. She sighed and shook her head violently. His fur looked so warm, soft, comforting... Her eyes widened as she snapped her head to the right, shaking herself out of it. Her whiskers twitching, she glanced around the camp. Surely somebody must be willing to talk. Surely someone else felt the same way she did.
After Solgun watched Raissa walk away from Thatcher and sit next to Meppe, he got up, stretched, and wandered towards them. He sat down next to Raissa. Solgun then yawned and asked, "Are you guys getting annoyed with his rude behavior?"
Raissa gave a soft laugh and nodded to the Omega. A quiet, "Definitely," escaped her lips as her blind eyes strayed over to where Thatcher was again. 'What's with him right now?' though Raissa. Her mind wouldn't let her drop the topic, so she pushed it to the side as to make it look like she wasn't worried, though no one could read her blank eyes, though she didn't respond when she was side-tracked on something. She smiled to Solgun.
