Talus' large brown eyes were flared wide. His large hooves pounded away at the ground, sending large clumps of dirt and dust in to the air. He threw back his head and let out a large whinny of freedom. The horses in this small but strong herd had just escaped the clutches of the cruel beast called man. They had been captured and taken so far away from their homes. Now it was their time to get back.
Talus jumped in to the air with the new found freedom flowing through his brown and black legs.

Yoko trotted with the herd, cautious of her heavy hoofsteps. After their escape, she always felt insecure, like she was being watched by the stronger man with his terrifying two eyes boring holes in her side. She quickened her pace, her mane whipping behind her in the fierce wind. Her topaz eyes flamed with fear.
