Saiou smiled graciously, her eyes twinkling. "I'm sure we could stop for a sun-meal, but we must leave before the field of stars appears. A gathering of dark clouds are coming, and we must hurry our paws on out if we would like to find a shelter save from the heaven's-cry that shall last for three star-watchings at least." She sat down, taking off her blue robe, to show that she had an intricately designed tunic underneath.

"If he dies, then it will be God's will."
"If that was meant to be comforting, it was not."
"Everyone dies eventually. Once you are born, you begin to die."
"That was not comforting either!"
"It is the way of the Creed. Usually our deaths are violent but quick."
Lola walked into the volcano and into the central room, scurrying to catch up with Lord Sigil and Fliau. "Hello, there!" the otter greeted as she burst into the room joyfully. "I'm sorry I'm late, and if I'm interrupting something, I'm sorry as well, but I couldn't help but come. I'm rather lonely today, so I thought perhaps I could come listen to whatever sort of meeting your having here, if it's not too much trouble?" She smiled hopefully at them.
Suddenly feeling quite peckish, Karlow followed after the others into the once fire-spitting mountain, and trotted along the dark walls. The fluffy tail that adorned his behind (o o c;; lol.) curled ever so lightly as the claws on his small hind paws tapped against the hard, wet rock. A small light flickered in his face for a brief moment, until he realized that it was only one of the hares, holding a bright lantern in it's paw. Karlow jumped in surprise at the sound of an unfamiliar, loud voice, and chuckled at the sight of a peculiar little female otter.
"Well, well, what do we have here? You surely are a cheery gal!" The voice that he himself owned was a fairly friendly one, but it held hints of curiousity as to whom this creature was. She was not one known to him, in any case, despite him having met many otters during travels, and even travelers themselves. Shrugging off his train of thought, he approached her slowly, quietly, examining her from tail-tip to ears. "My, you are an awfully pretty young thing!"
o o c;; Note: Karlow is the type who would find any kind of compliment to give, even if the person he is speaking too happens to be someone he dislikes. It does not make him a suck-up, of course; he'd just rather not get on anyone's bad side. x3 Just thought i'd explain why he's so polite. :)

We all have our moments: A moment to cry, a moment to laugh. A moment to be held, a moment to be let go. A moment to be sad for not having what we want, and a moment to be happy with what we got.
Yeah, we all have those moments. And I advise you not to put them to waste.
Yei fluttered onto a chair, managing to avoid touching anything that she wasn't supposed to touch as she settled into a comfortable position, eyeing her surroundings with a careful gaze.
'Messier than it used to be,' she mused to herself, before her gaze flickered to the various animals seated at the table. Her mind had just begun to drift when a new voice intruded and she glanced around, spotting an otter. A moment and she tilted her head to a side, crying, "Hello, there, Lola! I don't think you've interrupted anything; we were just sitting down to eat midday."
Sigil watched each of the creatures that surrounded the table in his halls. An unknown smile touched the edge of his lips as his dark eyes turned from them all. "My dear friends," he started, "When you have eaten your fill, please turn your attention here. I... I have news of the gravest imprtance. I wish all of you to hear it." The badger lord's deep voice grew seriously dark for a moment as his gaze turned from one of his companions to another. He knew that their mission was a long one, and one that would be dangerous. Would they all be up to it?
"Yes, my friend, Sigil. What news of importance that is so grave has now struck the mighty badger lord of Salamandstron?" mused Fliau, smiling gravely. Then he sighed and sat in a wooden chair that was placed at the long, long stone table now being covered in much food and such for the always hungry hares. They were good souls, though, and the best fighters in all of the forest of Mossflower. "For Redwall and it's rose stone walls await in the far-off distance."

"Great!" Lola said. She joined the others and sat down. She turned to Karlow. "Thank you." She smiled at him, because she always loved complements, as part of her cheery nature.
Karlow nodded, sitting down upon one of the many chairs that were set around the table. He blinked at the Lord, wondering about what news they would be hearing of. He hoped it wasn't terrible, a burden to hold on his shoulders. Pulling his hood down, the squirrel glanced at all the food that was brought. These hares sure ate alot, Karlow concurred, nodding. "You're welcome, dearest," he replied to the otter with an apprehensive grin. She was apparently named Lola. A common yet lovely name, thought he.
He was, surely enough, hungry after the journey here, and wanted desperately to reach out and grab a piece of whatever food he first touched. But, he did not want to be rude, and so waited 'till Lord Sigil gave his nod of approval. The creature's eyes flickered to the torches that lit up the lively room. Something about them caught his attention... o o c;; Muse...slowly...dying...must...resuscitate...with...music... *turns on radio* Ah much better. :D

"Hello, Lola!" said Fliau, smiling to the otter. He had met her before somewhere, probably in one of his meetings with a group of otters. His ears flickered in a greeting and he smiled to Karlow. "I'm pretty sure you may feast, Karlow. Plus, I recommend to eat now... The hares shall arrive shortly, and I believe we all know the legendary hunger that the hares posses," chuckled Fliau, smiling with his ivory whites.

Sigil nodded to his fellow creatures as he reached his large paw forward and grabbed a bit of food for himself. He placed it on his great plate and studied each of his fellow's faces. His dark orb like eyes sought out any hesitation in each of them. This joureny might be a dangerous one. Sigil knew he could count on this good creatures, but to what extent? With a sigh the badger lord nibbled on a bit of the food he had taken.
