Maddix looked at his kitten, Lyla then at Shadow. He had his I'm-thinking-about-something face on while he looked at the grass in his hand. He threw it up in the air and the wind blew it alittle ways so it landed bahind them. He put his head on hers and put his arms back around her finally giving in. He was still thinking about something. He closed his eyes for a minute and yawned. Maddix hadn't slept very well the night before and he was oober sleepy.

Maddix almost fell over when she got up. He looked at Alex with a what the heck look on his face and then looked after Taylor as she ran off. When she came back and put the blanket on him he took it off. "I'm taking your blanket. Give me my blazer and you take your blanket back"he said handing it to her. "I'll be fine I swear"he said as Lyla looked up at him.

Lyla padded over to Maddix and crawled into his lap. He snuggled with her for a moment then looked over at Alex. He whispered something in her ear then kissed her head. He sat her down and gave her a soft nudge. She looked up at him and he nodded at her. She padded over to Alex and crawled into his lap.

"You can keep her for tonight and tonight only if you want to. She's really warm despite her small size."he told Alex. "Don't let her wander off please"he said and looked back to Taylor.

Ic :: Taylor smiled at Alex. "Well... i kinda have some leftover food in the kitchen of my house... which will last the 3 of us for a few weeks." She smiled. "Fancy eating some almost spoiled chips.. maybe some fruits, and if we're lucky, a steak or two?" she smiled at Alex and stared into his deep, green eyes. Something fancied her about Alex. "It's the eyes.." she murmured. Her voice was soo low, Alex couldn't hear her. "Those eyes SHINE.." She looked at Maddix. "Oh.. and I'll keep Lyla. Of course I will." She smiled. 
Shadow padded towards Taylor. She bent down and petted Shadow, but her mind was still on those emerald green eyes of Alex's. "I wish my eyes were like his.." she whispered. Her big, round blue-gray eyes were nothing compared to Alex's small, Japenese green eyes. She sighed. She looked intensly at him, then blushed. "Sorry.." she said sheepishly. Taylor blushed, and pulled her hair into a low side ponytail. Just a few days before her parents died, she got a perm and her hair was now a poofy straight style. Before, her hair was natrually curly, wavy at the top and near the bottom, it was curly locks. She would have usually let it drop freely; she liked the feeling of the wind blowing through her curls. After she got the perm, her hair would stick to her face, so she keeps it up. "I wish I never got the perm.." she said to herself. "That way, Alex wouldn't see me looking at him and me blush," she sighed. "I think I'm in love with him."

Ooc :: OH!!! can taylor love alex at first then decided he wasn't her type and love maddix?

Alex's eyes opened slightly at the mention of food. "Perfect," he managed to murmur. "But the spoiled chips might mess up our appetites, no?" He managed a soft chuckle before Alex closed his eyes--eyes, unknown to him, that happened to be an object of fascination--and manged to drift into the familiar state of both consciousness and unconsciousness.

His mind, now freed, began to wander, absently rifling through the events of the past few days. It was hard to believe that he had only been a refugee for less than a week, but it felt like more than a lifetime, striving to survive in the war-torn America. He slipped deeper into unconsciousness, sleep slowly gaining ground on awareness.
