"Because if you keep calling me Rainpaw, and her Earthpaw, then some cats are gonna be looking at us weirdly. Next we'll be telling them that this is some dream, and they'll just kick us out," she replied smoothly. "The best way to get information without seeming totally insane is to go with the game. Trust me." She grinned, and then dug her claws into the dirt and propelled herself faster.

"Everyone dies eventually. Once you are born, you begin to die."
"That was not comforting either!"
"It is the way of the Creed. Usually our deaths are violent but quick."
Dustpaw frowned deeply and didnt reply. Well if they wanted to play this game let them. He didnt care. He just wanted to get back to the way things were. When the cats got to the place Leafclan should have been all they saw was a densly shrubbed area with no sign of life. There werent any cats! It looked like this place hadnt been touched in seasons. What was going on? The place looked like it could have been a camp at one point but it may have been because Dustpaw was used to seeing it that way. Was this the past or the future?
Rainpaw slid to a halt, almost crashing into a bush which should have been the entrance tunnel. "W-what?" She whimpered, padding through the bushes which used to be her home. "F-father? Skyheart?!" Was her wail, searching out for her father. Her beloved father, who always cared for her with the kindest of hearts. What had happened to him? "I w-want to go h-home..." She whimpered quietly, a single tear falling.

Dustpaw stepped up beside her with a grim frown. "What do you think happened?" His breath caught in his throat for a moment. Wait a moment! If he was Duststar, and Lilypaw was Lilyspirit... did that mean this was the future? If this was the future could this be all that was left of their clan? Dustpaw's heart contricted. What the heck?! This was wrong! It had to be!
Lilypaw had gotten to the camp far before the other apprentices. She looked around, not another tear comming. Sure, she missed her old home, but sitting around and moping about it wasn't gonna help anyone. She looked at the scratches in old stones and angles of plants carefully. She was blood died from many seasons ago in the medicine cat's cave. It must have been alot of blood to stay there. It seemed there was a battle from a long time ago. Had LeafClan been destroyed? With a gasp, she backed out of the den, hyperventalating. She couldn't have killed a whole clan, could she? Would she?

Dustpaw heard heavy breathign coming from further ahead. He narrowed his eyes and padded forward causitously. He scented teh air but onyl found Lilypaw's scent. "Lilypaw?" he called out to make sure it was her. His amber eyes glinted slightly in the light as he padded around a bush. Ahead there was the old medicine cat cave. Lilypaw was standing not to far in to it. "Lilypaw?" He called again with a bit more force behind his deep voice. Still remembering how she had run off after crying to him, he sneered. She was such a confusing she cat. Most she cats were to the brown and white tabby. He just didnt understand them sometimes.
"Were....then...but how?" Rainpaw murmured to herself, her mind flying through ideas. "No way!" She gasped, her eyes wide. "Dustpaw! What if this is all a warning? What if this is what will happen in the future if we don't do something? Did you see how many of the cats were reluctant to go out from behind the waterfall? What if something chased them in there? And we were the only cats...who could start a clan?" She fell into a thoughtful silence.

Shadowpaw hadn't been far behind. He soon caught up and padded into the camp, just as he heard the last few sentences that Rainpaw had spoken. He remained silent and looked around. There was a medicine cat den, which he knew a little, then there were all of the dens, but they looked like a wreck. "...Hey... Guys, come here. I think I found something. I think this could be important." He sniffed the small piece of unidentifiable material, and then he realized that it smelled like old blood. Maybe a half-moon old at the least? Shadowpaw used a claw to scrape some of the red liquid off of it. The color underneath seemed white-tan, like a light-colored cat's claw, but it was stained, so it was hard to tell.

Earthpaw gasped and mewed quickly, " Rainpaw's right, this is a warning from Starclan! There's blood all over this cave.... and I'm guessing that whatever did this to our clan is still out there. We have to put a stop to this! Those cats in there where frightened to go outside. " She paused and looked around at the cats in front of her. " I know that we can fight tis monster and put a stop to this! Are you guys with me? I can't bear to lose our clan like this. And if I'm the only one who will fight....I know that I am always up for a challenge!!!" She looked over them with bright glistening eyes.

"It makes sense. But we can't just run into danger," Rainpaw mewed. "Besides, it doesn't seem as if this dream will end any time soon, so I think I'll go back to the camp and see what the other cats say. Hopefully they don't think I'm too crazy. I'll say I was on a journey or something and never understood why the camp was moved." Rainpaw's thoughts were gathering speed as she plotted on how to get more information. She had always been clever, and it was a trait that had not yet failed her. "Anyone coming with me?"
