I recently watched the "Dragon Wars" movie, and it's not that great. The movie was rushed and the only fight scene between dragons was at the very end. To me, it didn't deserve to be called "Dragon Wars", it was more like a war between dragons and humans, not dragon vs. dragon. Well, I'm not here to complain about a movie. I'm actually going to write a story. So why was "Dragon Wars' mentioned? Becuase it gave me an idea for this story. I don't have a title for this story yet, so I will gladly take suggestions. I should have the first chapter up later on today. I'm about half way done with it. Hopefully I can finish it and it will be good.

There are many breeds of dragons. There are our cousins, the wyverns. Beings that share similarities with us like fairy dragons or bat dragons. And then, there are the beasts of legend. We exist in almost every culture. Why? Why are we everywhere? Why do so many know about us, but don't believe we exist? How have we spread to worlds we have never visited physically? The answer is simple. We didn't.
This answer must be very confusing, but it's the truth. We, the dragons, haven't visited every single planet. We hardly ever leave our homeworlds. So why are we everywhere? It's because of our gods, the Draken.
The Draken are everywhere, but hardly anyone worships them. Why? Draken don't want to be worshipped. They are constantly on the move. If you pray to one and don't recieve an answer, it's not becuase they don't like you. It's becuase they aren't around. They don't always move together either. It all depends on what each Draken wants. Some want to cause a disaster and others want to help. But, every few years, they gather at a special planet. Latoz Ekka, a homeworld of the dragons. The place where a dragon is crowned Draken Emperor or Empress.
It is now time for a new Draken to be crowned. You may not think this is very important, but listen to this tale. Listen and learn about the beasts who will never be forgotten.
Borael slowly emerged from his den. The still rising, morning sun tinted the sky a red-orange color. Yawning, the mighty crimson dragon stretched the same way a cat would. Looking down, he surveyed the canyon the belonged to his clan, the Cliff-side clan. Other dragons were stepping out of their caves and looking up at their leader. Raising his head to the sky, Borael roared a loud bellowing cry. The other dragons answered their leader's morning roar, disrupting the silent sun-rise.
Another day.
Borael thought, Another day of nothing but hunting and training. Sighing, the large dragon lay down and rested his head on his massive paws. He spotted Kaze urging his daughter Ryuta towards the cliff-edge. The young sky blue and white dragon didn't appear very awake and tried to crawl back into their den.
Chuckling, Borael called down to the two dragons. "C'mon Ryuta! You don't want Zabro to catch and eat everything leaving you nothing for breakfast!"
"Hey!"
Borael looked behind him and saw a small black dragon waddling towards him. Zabro was different from every other dragon in the clan. Instead of having four legs, he had two hindlegs and wings that were just like a bats wing.
"I don't eat that much." Zabro growled, his long barbed tail lashed from sided to side.
"I'm just teasing." Borael said, pushing the small black dragon over with his tail.
Zabro growled, baring his large, sharp fangs and glided downward towards Ryuta and Kaze. The larger sky blue dragon reared up on his hind legs.
"Hey Zab! Wanna come with us on a hunt?" Kaze asked.
"You could take my place." Ryuta suggested, heading back towards the den.
Kaze's tail wrapped around her and pulled her back towards him.
"You're coming with us."
Ryuta growled. "Well then lets go. I don't want this to take forever."
Zabro rolled his eyes and jumped off the cliff. Spreading his wings out, he flapped them a couple times and flew out of the canyon. Ryuta and Kaze followed behind him.
Kaze let loose a loud roar, frightening all of the hidden elk. They stampeded out of the forest and into the open. Zabro spotted a large buck and dived for it. He stopped his dive once he was about five feet above them and bellowed. The elk took off in different directions, but Zabro kept an eye on his target. The large elk had turned back to the forest. Zabro growled and sped up until he was directly above it. He then dropped from the sky and landed on the elks back. The large beast bucked wildly, trying to throw the young dragon off, but Zabro just bit down on the elk's neck.
The animal cried out in pain and slipped. Zabro lept off its back and then dove at it again to finish it off.
"Nice catch there Bro." Kaze said as he landed next to the smaller black dragon.
"Thanks, nice catch yourself." Zabro replied, noting the two elk Kaze held in each hand.
The sky blue dragon chuckled. "One of these is Ryuta's." he said holding one up. A large black smoking hole could be seen on the side of the elk.
Zabro sighed, he wished he had a breath weapon. Being able to shoot a bolt of lightning from one's mouth would really help when cathing food.
A strange sweet scent suddenly flowed through the air.
"Do you smell that?" Ryuta asked, landing next to her father.
Kaze didn't answer, he just stared at the forest, watching it intently. The massive head of a golden furred wolf peered through the branches of the trees. It stared back at them for a few moments before disappearing back into the forest.
"What was that?" Zabro asked, looking up at Kaze.
The older dragon didn't answer, he just picked up the elk and launched himself into the sky. "Let's head back to the canyon." He said.
Zabro and Ryuta glanced over at each other, niether knew what was going on. Ryuta shrugged and followed Kaze. Zabro glanced back at the forest. The strange sweet scent was slowly fading. He looked up and noticed the other two dragons were already pretty far ahead of him.
"Hey! Wait up!" He cried, flapping his large bat-like wings.
