Quietly, Bree opened the door to her room; it was dark and quiet it her house, since her father was on a business trip to Egypt, and her mom was still at work. (Being an only child didn't help the lonliness much.) Walking over to the piano in her room (her room was only one floor), she began to play Fur Elise as the rain fell harshly on the windows. Beginning a sonata by Mozart, her German Shepherd hound awoke, and she looked next to her to find him standing beside her. "Ah... Good morning finally, Brutis," she whispered quietly as the sonata became louder and louder, echoing in her room. Her copper-colored hair shielded her face from the flashes of lightning that pulsed steadily outside.
Bree was adopted at a young age, and brought into a stable middle-class family. She never knew who her real parents were, but she supposed that, since she was adopted, they wanted her to have a better life than what they would have given her, and so Bree felt completely and utterly blessed by the adoption by the Montague's. Every pulse of lightning, the song seemed to slow, yet increase in loudness. It showed every bit of emotion she refused to show to people; happiness, anger, regret, lonliness, and power. Like a lone wolf, the song howled mournfully and echoed in its large territory that held no other being like her.
In her house it all went dark as the electricity went out for a second. Of course, it was back on in a few minutes. But, on the third lightning strike, it was bright enough to have illuminated the whole room. And if you looked closely enough, you could see the tear that ran down Bree's face as she played the quiet tune. Now, do not think, that because this song was sad, that tear was sad; oh no, this tear was not happy, either. But, there are times, when you must just cry for the sake of crying. And this was one of those times.

Nikko sighed as he finished unwrapping the last present, he layed back in his bed to relax. His looked at a book he had gotten called The Wereling, he opened it & starting reading it. He silently read the book to himself while he layed on his bed. His parents were probably asleep after the party they threw for him, they always ended up carrying on the party without him if he left.
OOC: okay IC: Nikko set the book down & sighed, he looked over at his phone. He slowly sat up & stood up out of his bed, he opened his cell phone. He walked over to the window to get good reception otherwise he got alot of static. He dialed Alice's number to talk to her & say happy birthday.

He looks around the room Innocently overlooks the truth Shouldn't a light go on? Doesn't he know I've had him memorized for so long?
He sees everything black and white Never let nobody see him cry I don't let nobody see me wishing he was mine
"Sure, thanks." Nikko whispered in his usual hushed tone, "And I don't blame you for not coming, I wasn't at the party anyway." He felt somewhat left out whenever left the parties meant for him but he knew his parents would take almost any chance to throw any kind of party to impress their friends not his.
