|Name;; Kyle Richardson (plain name. :P) |Title;; Kyle of Teardrop Falls (is that name okay? :3) |Part;; Guy |Apperance;; A boy that's average height for his age and with slightly tanned skin. He has golden eyes and chocolate brown hair that curls when it ends just below his ears. |Personality;; Kyle can act like a complete know-it-all sometimes and can have a real temper, but when he comes to, he is actually a very kind person that knows what he wants in life and that he must work hard to recieve his wishes. (He does not show emotion much, aside from anger and solemness.) |Short History;; Kyle knows his parents; actually, he knows them all too well, though he lives with his aunt and uncle. Because his parents were the lower of the middle-class, they were having a hard enough time making ends meet while they all ready ad one child. So his aunt and uncle took him in, in hopes of him growing to be as great of people as his parents (though it seems he has his older brother Zac's temper but his mother's kindness).

Taking a deep breath, Janelle ran a hair through her gold hair again. She liked the change of shaggy hair, and had taken a while to get it right. At first it was too clean-cut, then she still looked feminine.
For the last week, she'd tried her best to learn what she needed to to train as a Page. Now that she was actually there, in her room, with Jones inspecting the room, she was a little scared. What wouldthe other new Pages think of her? Could she be convincing enough? At least she had the word of her uncle.
The first-year pages were called into the hallway and each one stood in front of their doors, chins high. Janelle stood in front of her door and tried not to shrink away as the senior Pages followed a tall shaggy man down the hall. He had a dark beard and smiling green eyes. "Hello," he announced to the croup, "My name's Hale, but you refer to me as 'my lord'. Senior pages, please put it uoon yourselves to sponsor a first-year." He nodded and stood aside, where half the group followed him. Ten senior pages stood before the first-years, looking them over. Janelle tilted her chin a little higher, unsure of what she was being inspected for.
((you guys can RP getting there if you wish. Just make sure you're called out and being inspected by the senior pages.))

Kyle, without emotion, exited his room when they were called out. His room was inspected, and everything was well, as he stood before the senior pages. His dark gold eyes were serious but held a lazy casuallty as he stared back at the pages casually and without hostility or fear. Though of course, he was nott exactly fearless. He had fear, he had the fealing known as remorse and the ability to have the emotion fear. But, however, at the moment, it was not there. His arms hung lank next to his body, and then slowly folded across his chest as he made quick eye contact with a senior page, though he was quick to change where his eye's path lay. Rather, they pointed to the ground emotionlessly.
Hale, or rather, 'my lord,' looked like a gruff man to Kyle. With harsh eyes and the look of a well-spoken page, Kyle knew who he would not mess with during his training. He hoped he would be able to hold his tongue during his training.
'Kyle be sure to hold your tongue. It is sharp, and wields as many words as your brother knows. Just.. be careful,' his aunt had warned him before he had left. And the follow-up from his uncle had been, 'A sharp tongue is a keen weapon, but a sword is even more dangerous. Watch your mouth, Kyle.' All his brother had said was, 'Watch your step,' and then walked away, laughing, after he tripped Kyle.
His golden eyes darkened as Hale's eyes met his for a second. Kyle gave a sort of cough to clear his throat and then yawned quietly. It was getting quite a bore to just stand there while the senior pages inspected them.

Thax stood a little hesitantly outside his door. His room was inspected and everything was in order. He turned his green eyes to the other pages. He didnt want to be here and it was a bit apperant on his face. He had a gentle soul and would have rather been with his parents selling things right now. But no, he was here as a page and going to become a knight. The boy bit his lower lip and stared up at Hale. The man lifted a brow at him but said nothing as he passed by. Thax looked down and fiddled with his fingers. Thax cast a glance toward the senior pages. A few of them tossed careless glances around while others took it more seriously. None of them looked at Thax for a long period of time. He didnt look like anything special and he knew that he wasnt as well. IT didnt matter to him at all though. He would spend most of his time at the stables if he could.
Lucifer stretched as he stepped out of his room for it to be inspected, and when it was given the all-clear, the senior pages began looking at him as well. He did not look like anything special, with his dirty golden hair and deep blue eyes, but he had a certain air about him - as if he knew that he would be chosen, and later many pages would wish they had picked him themselves. He didn't care if they did or not, and so he waited. Instead of looking at the senior pages with a hopeful eye, he looked at the other first-year pages, observing them. One seemed absolutely and totally bored, while another looked as if he knew he wouldn't get picked quickly, and that he did not mind. Lucifer shrugged, and a sparkle of mirth entered his eyes. This would be fun, much better than his life would have been otherwise. Much, much better.

A tall boy with brown wavy hair that looked like it hadn't been cut in years stood, almost touching his nose to Janelle's. She had liked her eyes, but didn't know anyone else liked them this much. She felt resentment burn hot in the pit of her stomach. Something must have flickered in her eyes, because the boy took a step back and called to Hale, "I'll sponsor the little guy!" He stuck out his hand formally, grinning from ear-to-ear.
"Alex of Olaf, your sponsor," Janelle took his hand hesitantly, but he shook it reassuringly. He looked as if he was waiting for somethin, and it took her a minnute to catch on.
"Oh! Erm... It's... Ja-... Anel! Anel of Trebond." She shook his hand, looking around at the other pages. One or two sponsors shook their heads and left, another two were fighting over one of the boys. Janelle shook her head with a laugh.
"Come on Anel, It's time for the first feast of the year! Don't want to be late for the blueberry pie!" Janelle almost stuck her tounge out. The only thing she worried about was her extreme pick-yness when it came to food. She followed behind him, hoping there'd be potatoes.

Yvonne--or Xyun, as she was called, now--stood at attention as she stared straight ahead, arms by her side as she listened to the noises of others making themselves welcome in her room. She was irritated, annoyed, and most of all bored; but none of this showed on her politely interested face. The girl posing as a boy was still a little too feminine to be handsome, but as she was still a child, she had that adorable-child-trying-to-be-older charm. Many of those her age took her stony silence as her belief that she was better than them; those only slightly older than her assumed that she was being disrespectful; lordly figures believed that she was to grow up to be a respected knight (like or unlike them); and motherly figures declared that "(s)he was simply the most scrumptious little kid to set foot within the castle" to train as a knight.
Many times those inspecting herself and her room had tried to, in the way of those in the presence of younger ones, catch her attention by speaking loudly of the room and the new page in front of them. Each time they had checked for a reaction, they had been met by the seemly dead cloudy blue-grey eyes, and they had given up--for the most part. Occasionally they still commented on her soft skin, un-manly beauty (because guys weren't supposed to be pretty, they were supposed to be tough and rough with everyone) and long hair. Yvonne ignored this, staring ahead as they plodded along at their tortuously slow pace.
When will they be done? she moaned to herself, her guise slipping for but a second.
Thax stared as a few boys passed him by like a shadow. As more and more pages were picked off by sponsers, a boy with dusty golden hair and light brown eyes walked over to him He lifted a brow and tilted his head to the side. "You still in need of someone to sponser you?" Thax made a soft frown but nodded. The golden haired boy shrugged and replied, "Alright then, not to many other newbies look like they will be as quiet you. Just dont blabber on and we will get along just fine." The older boy reached out a hand introduced himself, "I am Sebastian of Redmond." Thax took the hand gingerly but replied, "Thax... Thax of Eastcliff." With that Sebastian turned on his heel and motioned for the younger boy to follow.
Lucifer looked around as the remaining boys - and sponsers - dwindled. Finally, a tall boy with dark hair and green eyes walked up to him, looked him over, and did not leave again. "I'm sponsoring this kid!" He called to Hale, and then turned back to Lucifer. "I'm William of Sunset's Heart. But you can call me Will." He grinned warmly, and stuck his arm out. "I'm Lucifer of Tortall," Lucifer replied, shaking his hand. "You're from here?" Will asked. Lucifer nodded, and Will said, "Sweet! Do you know your way around the castle then?" "Somewhat." Lucifer followed his new sponser out, and away they headed toward the feast.
