Dino back at Rose and saw her face was in shock. Tilting his head a little he wondered what happened or what she was thinking. Forgetting about the babies in the cave too, he stood up and looked out the tunnel again. Wondering if he should go out and get Shep's body he sighed and looked to the ground. Turning around to rose he reliezed she wasnt thinking about something she was looking. Turning his head to her he followed her gaze.

Rose couldn't beleive what she had seen. She looked back up at Dino "How did this happen?" she whispered. She coulden't beleive her eyes Jake was normal but Dawn had a tail and cat ears. "How are we going to send her to school looking like this when she's 5?" she asked. She waited for Dino to reply to her question.

IC:Dino stared at Dawn for a moment and felt his heart race. Hearing what Rose had said he looked at her and stepped back. "School!?" He hadnt thought about anything until now. Putting his hand on his head he sighed, and sat on a rock. "I-I dont know...i have to think." Looking at Dawn again he saw her look at him like nothing was wrong.

Rose didin't want Dawn to get called a freak if she did go to a public school. "maybe we could homeschool them?" Rose suggested. She thought of some other ideas 'surgery?' she thought 'no' she thought she didin't want to put Dawn through that much pain plus they woulden't be able to get rid of her ears anyways sense she woulden't have any other way of hearing. She looked at Dawn she was looking at Dino.

Dinno shook his head. He wasnt even thinking about any kind of school right now. He just wanted to survive and leave this place for good. Not hearing Rose he nodded and turned around. "Yea. Sure. Ill be back..." Turning to the tunnel he walked out before rose could say anything and walked over to Shep's body. The rain had stopped and now all the animals had gone.

Rose watched Dino leave. She looked at Dawn and Jake they were both sleeping she didin't dare make a sound for fear that they would wake up. She looked outside the cave to see Dino beside Shep. the dog had meant a lot to him he had even put himself in danger to save Shep. She felt pain stab her heart. Shep had died to save her life. She felt a tear roll down her cheek "I'm sorry Shep" she whispered.

Grabbing Shep and holding the dog like he had done earlier Dino stood up and walked over to the cave. Placing the dogs body down gently next to a rock, he looked up and saw Rose crying. Walking up to her he sat down and wrapped his hands around her. "What's wrong?" Looking at Shep's body he saw the dogs scratches and knew if Shep had beaten the cheetah he would'nt have survived any longer.

"Shep died to save me, Dawn and Jake It's all my fault he's dead!" she wailed. She felt more tears roll down her cheeks. "I know how much he meant to you Dino you put yourself in danger to save him from the dingos". She She tried to get up but she just fell back to the ground in a coughing fit.

Dino lifted Rose up and placed her on the floor again. Sitting with her he sat across from her and looked at her seriously. "He wanted to save all of you. i bet he knew he was going to die but he still tried anyways. I woundnt have been able to stop him and you couldnt have either." Looking at Dawn and Jake he smiled and sat next to Rose. "Dont get up or youll hurt even more." Looking out the tunnel he saw it was still dark as he yawned and put his head on a rock. "we should rest."

Rose nodded and closed her eyes. She felt sleep over take her. She woke up he next morning feeling better but not completely. She got up slowly trying to keep her balance. She looked down at Dawn and Jake they were still asleep. She went out side the cave to see that there was no cheetahs in sight. she saw the blood of where Shep and the King Cheetah had battled. She looked away from that spot and looked farther into the distance. she thought she could see large masses of Elephants.
