Fireclaw trotted across teh expanse of fields that led away from the camp and the forest. They would check out the other side of the territory and circle back. His paws hit the ground with a bounce in their step. His amber eyes flashed with excitment. After a bit of traveling the sun was rising higher in the sky. They had checked out a wooded part of the territory and moved to a marshier setting past the pines. Fireclaw tossed a look back at Lunadream and mewed, "Have you found any good herbs?"
Lunardream nodded slowly, still tasting the air. "Plenty of berries and trees, enough leaves for poultices...but..." Her harsh eyes were icier than usual. "No catmint. We need that for greencough...especially...." Her own thoughts confused her and she trailed off. "And so far...no borage or yew. Nursing queens-" She stopped abruptly as a thought struck her. She glanced down at the ground as she walked, avoiding the eyes of her companions. "Sorry, I'm rambling," she muttered, barely audibly.
"Don't worry about it." Willowstar smiled. "We need to be thinking of borders. I know that there are no other clans, but it will be good to have borders, so cats won't wander and take over parts of our territory. A big territory is good, but we're quite a small clan, we don't need that much yet." She looked over the field they were walking across.

Username: Karma Character name: Tequilanabreeze Gender: Female Apperance: I was marked by the dog on my tail, once beautiful and flowing and the peak of my appearance it is now splotchy and red and can frequently be found hiding under me when I lie down. I have brownish, tanish fur with the richest color of green for eyes. Personality: She is fun loving and talkative, and loves a good fight but would never fight a friend, Just enemies. Former Clan: WindClan Former Rank in the clans: warriorrrrr :)
OOC: Tequilanabreeze was out on her own, unused to being so close to a stream when she was not drinking from it. She was enjoying it. The breeze ruffled her fur the wrong way and it felt nice, placing her paw tenetivly in the water to test its depth. When she felt its muddy ground she began to step in, the water was pleasantly cool and as she eased her blistered tail into the water she sighed, this was the best she had felt since her confrontation with the dog. She didn't want to move but she was hungry and she saw a fish about a step infront of her. Hesitantly making the actions to lift her paw she realized, she couldn't move. She was stuck in the mud! Oh comon she thought why is it always me?

Fireclaw tossed a look over his shoulder, "Well if we dont claim as much of the territory as we might need in the future then we might have to fight off invading animals like foxes or badgers later... Then again it would be harder to protect that way. I guess the safest thing is to expand later." He shrugged his shoulder soft and trotted on. THe group circled around and were on the last stretch of the territory. They headed back across the open moor toward the wooded trees and their camp near the stream. He was glad that they had choosen that spot. It made it feel more like home. For a moment a twinge of regret went through him. He did miss Riverclan... He missed having just been made warrior with his friends Shrewpelt and Heatherfur. They had been with him since he was in the nursery. At that thought he remembered that at the time he was in the nursery Willowstar, formerly know as Willowpaw would come and bring them something to eat. She would play with him and his friends until her mentor called her away. It hadnt been to long afterward that she had been given her warrior name and he given his apprentice name. The two hadnt had as much time to play anymore but they still found a bit of time. He had liked those days... but they were cut even shorter when Riverclan's deputy Bluesky had been killed in a badger attack. A younger version of Willowsong had stepped up as leader of that group and had managed to lead them to victory against it. Thus the leader of Riverclan named her deputy. Fireclaw, or Firepaw at the time had been so excited for her but their time together had been so short after. He had been named Fireclaw not to long ago with his friends and life had carried on. He looked over his shoulder at the she cat leader. He was glad that she had been chosen as leader. She deserved it. He did not realize that he was purring until he stepped in to a small indent that snapped him back to reality and to his own rumbling chest.
Willowstar looked back at Fireclaw and smiled to herself when she saw he was purring in a daze. She turned back, looking over the territory. "At least it will remind us of home. Gee, we're sure going to have to get used to eating everything." She frowned, wondering if they had the same silvery fish here too. She missed home, RiverClan, Gatherings, everything, but she wouldn't let that on to anyone. What was a clan of hope if their leader was consumed by feelings of sadness?

Lunardream squeezed out from between the trees, where she had been collecting juniper berries. Her mouth full of them, she couldn't speak, but she paused at the look on Willowstar's face. Lunardream flicked her tail over Willowstar's flank to get her attention, and gave her a half skeptical, half worried glance.
Willowstar shook her head and smiled at Lunardream, a wordless 'I'm fine.' She looked ahead and saw that they would soon reach camp again. Then maybe she could finally get some sleep.

OOC: Jumping in here. Please tell me if anythings wrong :)
IC: Ghostfur yawned. He was quite tired, actually, for not sleeping too well at night. He had so many jobs to do; border marking, hunting, and exploring the land for the places richest for prey and the places not to good; the places with the best berries; etc. He looked around at the pretty camp. It was really amazing. They found a good place.. a very good place. He stretched his long silver body and walked around, chasing his tail. "Boy am I bored." he said with a mischevious grin on his face. "Out for a little hunt!" he sang.
