Lucia wondered, for just a fleeting moment, if he was reading her thoughts. Even her mind wasn't private around him. The thought seemed absurd, but it was true, and she didn't know if she disliked that. She knew it was nice to have a private place, but it was also nice to not have to explain everything, to not have to tell the joke out loud, to have someone who knew her just as well as she did. But sometimes, she did want it to be private....unconciously of course. Like now. Is it normal that his touch feels warm on my skin? She almost blushed, but that would alert him to her thoughts if he wasn't already listening, so she struggled to keep it in.

"Everyone dies eventually. Once you are born, you begin to die."
"That was not comforting either!"
"It is the way of the Creed. Usually our deaths are violent but quick."
Kayden felt Lucia's body tense slightly. He thought he knew what she might be thinking, even without reading her thoughts. "Don't worry," he whispered, barely audible. "It's all private today, I promise." He squeezed her shoulders slightly. "Unless you don't want them to be private?"
Lucia chuckled. "Do what you want, but if you do choose to peek, be prepared for a shocker." She smiled, almost daring him to read her thoughts, waiting for his expression. But her last thought floated through her mind, as if by its own will. Is it normal that his touch feels warm on my skin...?

Kayden locked her gaze with his and easily read her thoughts. He smiled sweetly at what he heard. Only if it's normal that I love to play with your hair, he thought to her, twirling a short strand of her hair around his finger.
Lucia giggled, smiling at him. I dunno, is it? Do you love playing with everyone else's hair? And no, before you ask, I don't think everyone's touch is warm... She almost blushed again, but her cheeks turned a light pink. She shook her head, and smiled again.

Kayden brushed her pink cheeks with one fingertip. I think that's adorable, he chuckled in her head. And no, only your hair...it's so shiiiiny! Even in her mind, his laugh would ring as strong and clear as it did when he spoke.
Lucia giggled, rolling her eyes. She scooted a little closer, feigning a shiver, and thought again, It's not my fault it's shiny! I was born like that! She looked at his sparkling blue eyes, almost losing herself in their depths. Your eyes are so...oceany...and deep. She jumped slightly, covering her mouth with her hand, blushing deeply.

After Hazel finished with Lucia's arm she sat back relaxing while she drank and then she looked over at Lucia and Kayden. "Okay I'm out"she said putting everything back in her box and taking it back to her room. After she cleaned her mortar and pestle she took off her good shoes and put on her rain boots wich were zebra striped and headed to the front door. Making sure her phone was in her back pocket she headed towards the Library.

Kayden gently bumped her shoulder with his, grinning as a blush touched his face as well. Why, thank you, he murmured into her mind. I work hard for that, he added, chuckling, trying to make her laugh. He realized that anyone watching them would just think they were gazing into each other's eyes...he realized, also, that he didn't care who noticed.
Lucia chuckled, I'm sure you don't wear contacts. She gazed into his eyes, found them too mesmerizing and glanced away just as quickly. Are you a hypnotist or something? she asked cheekily, glancing at his blue eyes, a similar color to her own. Hers however were a tad more green, a lighter blue than his.
