Aki watched the boy leading them with big questioning blue eyes. It was pretty clear how he would rather be elsewhere away from the group and she didn't much perfer being there herself. After a moment's hesitation she picked up her pace slightly and pulled ahead from her position in the middle to where the boy was. "Hi"she said softly smiling up him her blue eyes shinning "My names Aki" Ren was about a head taller then Aki so she kinda had to look up to meet his eyes from her posistion at his side.

"Well get there if its where we want to be and if not, well then I guess we never really lost anything in the first place."
Ren gave the girl a sideways glance with just a hint of curiousity behind their brown coloring. He was suprised she even wanted to talk to him. He wasnt exactly a whole ton of fun, let alone interesting. He merely nodded and gave a grunt as his reply but figured it was rude not to introduce himself as well. "I'm Ren," he replied after a short moment. The girl didnt appear to have the coloring of anyone from his own native land or any cities around it. Rather she looked to be from one of the water tribes. Her tan skin was what gave it away to him. His own skin was rather pale in comparison. He wondered just how much paler he would appear with his warrior makeup on. A small chuckle rose in his throat but did not pass his lips as he remembered the years of training he had to go through with the female war paint on his face and the female armor and skirt he had to wear in battle.
Name: An (Ahh-n) Anju ( an = peace; anju = honor )
Age: 14
Gender: Female
Appearance: Quite short for her age (4'9''), An also sports a short cut (her hair is a light brown) that ends about an inch and a half below her ear, which is tied back as to not whip her in the face when she's in the air. Her eyes change colors -- one day blue, the next week green, then maybe two weeks later, hazel! Pale skin and skinny, An hides her figure in two-three layers of clothes.
Personality: Freedom. Love. Respect. Immature. Boy-ish. An. (She can act feminine. Though expect a few punches in the arm.)
History: Growing up, An always acted very rashly and immaturely, never thinking of what her actions might cause. Probably since she grew up with brothers. Three of them. Who weren't Benders. So they usually fist-fought and such. So she grew up in a house ruled by boys. Which is probably why she's so rash. And immature. Very immature. Being the only Air Bender in her family didn't make it any better, however. Add the fact pretty much all the other Air Benders were guys added to her immaturity. She's like one of the guys. Except she can be feminine.
Bending Style: Air
Position in the Unit: Unit Member
[ had to join. :)))))) compulsive action. my brother made me watch this show for a whole day. i'm hooked. :)))))) ]

OOC; Welcome aboard buddy! Glad to have you! XD Hurray! Start anytime you like, just read the last three posts because thats all there really is to the RP. Just to let everyone know, we are on the Earth continent near the southern areas of the map =D
Being short, and the youngest, An huffed as she walked beside all the other Benders, obviously annoyed none of her friends were with her. Taking her staff, she lightly tapped it and it opened into a glider. Tapping it again on the ground, it closed. This entertained her for a little time, then she stopped, strapping her glider to her back. Dark amber today -- her eye color, that is. They were shifting from light brown to hazel, but when that happened they usually shifted to amber for a few days to a week.
Staring at Aki and Ren, she sighed. Two of the warriors they were traveling with. An didn't understand how anyone could live without Bending. It seemed impossible to her. But she didn't dare say that to anyone -- her whole family had managed to live without Bending -- and were still living. So she kept quiet.
But her lips itched to speak, while she knew she could not. Or she could. Just not say what she had just thought. "An. Pleased to meet you Aki and Ren," she said in her young voice. She had overheard them, so she introduced herself as well. Without looking up. For both of them were taller than she by a foot (or more in Ren's case) at least. And she was used to people being taller than her. "My little mouse," her father always called her.

Ren nearly jumped in surpise at the voice of the youngest member in the bending group. His bright brown eyes turned to look over his shoulder but he had to keep turning in order to look down and see her face. His dark brows lifted in question, wondering if the small girl was the one that had really talked. "Umm... I guess already over heard our names then. No need to introduce ourselves again." With that he turned forward again not really all that interested in making the aquantence of these people. As soon as he showed them the spot he had seen the benders he was out of here. He would go to the port docks and get the first barge heading to Kyoshi island. He longed to see his old friends again.
With a silent huff, An said, "You don't seem too happy to be here, Ren." Her amber eyes stared up at at him, until she knew he could feel his stare. "But then again, I would rather be home with my family and friends. But I'm here, and trying to make the best of it. I could say you should too, but I'm not your mom!" Wise words, immature child -- a moment like this for An came once every... year. But maybe she was starting to grow up -- she was traveling with other Benders now, after all. On a mission. Maybe she knew she had to grow up.
Or maybe not. A thought like that would've ended if you saw her laugh at... nothing. She really just wanted to laugh. Right now the moment just seemed kind of dull to her. Dull wasn't good for her. Not at all.

Ren lifted his brows again but this time he didnt even bother to look over his shoulder. "Make the best of my horrible luck? As fun as that seems, every time i try it i end up getting stuck in situations like this. Im not really here by choice. You joined the... Oh what is your organization called again... The E.B.A? Yeah i think thats it. You joined the E.B.A by choice or mostly by choice. No one is forcing you benders to join it." There was no sting in the boys words. Rather it was more along the lines of either boredom or a wish for the converstation to just end. The boy reached for one of the fans on his belt and retrieved it. Opening it he studied the caligraphy on it. He knew what it said already but that didnt stop him from looking at the red and black strokes standing out against the gold and tan of the fan.
Rolling her eyes, An said, "I joined for my family. I partially joined by choice. Anyways, if you're gonna be such a grumpy-puss, think of things that will make you happy. Maybe you'll be just a little happier. I dunno." Shrugging, An jumped a little in her step to avoid a bug. Not scared of it -- just didn't want to kill it. Killing wasn't in her nature. "By-the-by, very nice fan," An commented with her high, childish voice. She must've come across like a ten year old to the older members, but... Well, she did act young, so it didn't make a different to what people thought.

Ren eyes turned sharply over his shoulder for a moment and as if by second nature he closed the fan and stuck it back in his belt lightning fast, almost to fast for the eye to see. "Yeah its a nice fan," he voice was a little harsher when talking about the fan or anything to do with the fan. He turned forward knowing he shouldnt have snipped like that but for whatever reason, he always felt defensive when it came to anything about the Kyoshi warriors. He knew she meant the statement as either a comment or a compliment. A little bit of shame flooded in him but he did not act upon it. "It certainly isnt as nice as that glider of yours though," his voice was softer now and didnt hold the bitin edge it had when he talked about the fan.
