Onyxpaw looked around at the unfamilar camp. She murmered, " I like it here. It's more open. " Then she heard Starstrukk's mow echo through the camp. She gave a smal grin and padded towards where Ebonycloud and Starstrukk were. " Hey, Starstrukk. " She mewed, tiredly. Her white fur was sticking up in places. She looked over at Ebonycloud with a look of thanks for letting her stay.

"Of course I will fight with you Ebony. I owe you -- and this is affecting my home as well," the she-cat replied, anger boiling down to a low 'thunder'. Her neon green eyes flashed with many emotions as she stared at her friend Onyxpaw. She had met the apprentice just before she decided to leave RiverClan, hoping fr a break that obviously never happened. Starstrukk mewed, "Onyxpaw," curtly -- she was still too angry to even say, "Hello," to a good friend. Fur still bristling, Starstrukk forced herself to sit down. "Never thought Duskstar to be the one to try to unite the clans though... She's going to want everyonr to fight for her cause -- I heard that whole speech." Voice growing louder as she spoke, Starstrukk looked at her old friend and sighed. All her eyes said was..

Firestar stood up and watched the 3 cats talk. He looked at his clan. They seemed to understand now. And they seem to be staying loyal their clan. Firestar grinned and walked over to a tree. He sat down under the shade. He knew it was time. Battle would be coming.

Ebonycloud nodded at what her eyes seemed to shout. Her own ice blue eys echoed the words. Yet something seemed odd. Why wasnt Firestar leading them or telling them what to do? Perhaps it was because of the shock of the leader's betrayal. Ebonycloud glanced toward Firestar with questioning eyes. There were unspoken words in her eyes, 'Want me to organize a border patrol... or do you want to do that?'

Firestar looked at the black she-cat. "that would be nice." he said. "but I don't want you doing everything by yourself." ebonycloud was always such I big help. She worked hard always. "we could do it together if you'd like. We can talk. I'm not going to lazy out and let you do it alone." he said and chuckled a bit. He stood up and looked at her blue eyes, waiting for a reply.

Ebonycloud gave a moment of silence and careful contemplation before nodding slowly. "Alright. I think it would be a good idea if you me Onyxpaw and Starstrukk go on the patrol. We need these two to get to know the area." The black furred deputy turned to Sweetpaw and smiled, "I need you to help Hawkshadow with any preperations she needs to get our clan ready for battle." With that the she cat turned to Firestar and nodded, "Ready to move out."

Firestar gave a nod to the deputy. He began to set off with the patrol. He stared at the ground as he walked. His paws lghtly hit the ground every step he took. He felt like he wasn't being the best leader at the moment. Was it because shock of the words duskstar spoke? Or perhaps the thought of battle. Firestar shook his head. He looked straight again.

"Patrol... I haven't been on one of these for a while...," murmured Starstrukk as she followed her friends on the patrol. WindClan territory was unknown to her -- but she did know ThunderClan and RiverClan's land pretty well. Her tail flicked quietly behind her as her paws led her through the grass -- the land was so... different than RiverClan's. But she liked it this way. It was nice. Smiling quietly to hide the fear and angst, she trotted in a easy pace beside Onyxpaw.

Ebonycloud was at the fonrt of the patrol but on about a moust length in front of Firestar. The ginger leader was keeping pace easily with his long legged deputy. The black she cat once again reflected on just how tall she was. Windclan was tall enough to start with but she was the tallest in her clan, sometimes making other warriors look like apprentices in comparison. The deputy kept a nice pace and pointed out places of interest such as the training meadow, the tall tree, the pond and the Riverclan border. She then turned and trotted along the true Windclan border. She once again marked it fiercly to let the Brokenclan cats know they were not welcomed to take any of their land. "Any questions Strarstrukk? Onyxpaw?"
