Lilyspirit had just turned to spread the news, when Timbersong's worries stopped her. "No," the she-cat said softly, not turning but shaking her head, "No, ShadowClan will never run." She walked on, knowing it was true. They were proud, and made decisions to save their clan that others might not, but they would never run.

Timbersong sighed. Lilyspirt was right, ShadowClan won't run. They were to brave for that. Instead... she felt her brain clog up. What would they do? If Dragonstar ordered them not to fight, they couldn't fight. Not in a million moons. But what if they were forced to fight? They had to fight back. It was either fight or flight. Or die.
She forced a fake smile onto her face.
"I'm.. going to go for a little walk," she said to Dragonstar. "I'll be back." She sighed and headed out of ShadowClan camp, to RiverClan's. It was time to talk to the famous Moonstar.
"Hmph. Suit yourselves, kittens." Duskstar murmured to the two as she left the territory. At least she had one ally - well...possible ally anyway. So maybe there was hope. Maybe she wasn't sentencing herself and her cats to death. Maybe life could go on peacefully. StarClan, what is it you want? Do you want to see the clans fight and kill me, so then they can see how wrong they were in being so bloodthirsty that they finally join together? Maybe it made sense. Maybe she would be killed. The thought saddened her, but she knew she must stay strong. "So where to now? Perhaps back to camp. We can go set out borders. It is obvious that Firestar and Moonstar will not see reason."

"Everyone dies eventually. Once you are born, you begin to die."
"That was not comforting either!"
"It is the way of the Creed. Usually our deaths are violent but quick."
