Zack heard Billy murmur something, but ignored it, thinking it was gibberish. "Come m'lady. Your feast awaits." He grinned, and hooked his arm with hers as they walked just about next door, to the ice cream shop. "This land is yours. Take your pick." It reminded him of some sappy movie whose title he had forgotten, but he laughed anyway, quickly ordering his own ice cream and waiting for her to choose which she wanted.

"That was not comforting either!"
"It is the way of the Creed. Usually our deaths are violent but quick."
"Who's that?" mused Milia out loud, and partially asking Zack a question. Her blue eyes pondered what he said to her, but then saw all the flavors and suddenly decided, "I'm now getting whatever flavor you're getting, Zackaryyyy ~" Laughing, she looked at all the flavors again, knowing Zack would pick a good flavor, unless he was feeling a little wild. Then he would go and choose some disgusting flavor she would absolutely hate. Not fun. But worth it.

"Haha, try coffee and oreos. It's delicious. And that kid was Billy, I think. He's been looking at you weird for some time. You haven't noticed?" He chuckled, taking his ice cream and beginning to eat it, pulling out his wallet with a spare hand and plopping it on the counter as Mal ordered. They'd go back and see the strange man soon enough, Zack thought with a shrug.

"Now I'm scared," Malia replied, gesturing for her to get the same as her friend. "Someone staring at me? Not cool. Why didn't you tell me?" Paying for hers, she stared at the clock on the wall for a minute. And as soon as it ticked, she took a bite of her ice cream and murmured, "This is really good." It was an odd ritual she did, and it started a while ago, presumably... three years ago, if she was right. Malia licked the spoon and asked herself, "Why haven't I seen him before, then?" Her mind reeled for any recollection of him, but none came tt mind. "I'm drawing a blank..."

Zack snorted, taking his own ice cream and giving the money that hers would have cost to her - by stuffing it in her pocket. "Don't let him hear you say that. I think he's been ogling after you for a while, every laundry day." He shrugged, taking a big scoop out of his large ice cream before ambling out of the shop, heading back to the laundromat. "There's also that other kid, who comes with like three times his usual load every once and a while, and he almost falls over every time. Don't honestly tell me you don't know any of them? Weren't you ever paying attention? What if one of them walked up to you and decided they knew who you were?" The last question was a hushed whisper, and he said it barely centimeters from her ear. They stepped back into the laundromat, and he continued eating his ice cream.

A sharp-intake of breath, and then Malia replied, "Well as you know, I'm not very aware of my surroundings, Zack." Stepping back into the laundromat, she saw that Billy kid. "Nope. Never noticed either of 'em. Weird, huh? And I doubt they know my name." Her last sentence answered his last whisper. But in a concealed way. But also partially the truth -- they couldn't know her name -- they never talked to her once in her life. Malia didn't know half of the people she was friends with growing up! Names just never stuck.

Zack shook his head, laughing once more, as he finished his ice cream and tossed it into the bin. He saw the other kid struggling, and called, "Hey! Need some help?" He stood up and saw that the teen's bag was bigger than his own load of clothes, and that was impressive. It was hard to attain such a high amount of clothes, and Zack couldn't help but be awed.

"Always have to be the nice guy, Zack?" Malia laughed, rolling her eyes and following Zack, eyes momentarily widenening as she saw the guys load of clothes. "He has more clothes than you!" she remarked, stunned, for she has never seen that many loads needed -- Zack had a lot, but this guy... He... "He's your idol!" laughed Malia, poking fun at Zack it would probably be worth it, anyways. She lived to make fun of her friend, it seemed, and though that was not necessarily true. She lived to help others as Liana. But no one had to know that. Except for Zack. Knowing Malia, she probably would've confessed to him anyways, so it didn't really matter, but still. Zack knew everything.

Zack laughed, looking back at the guy trying to fit everything through the doorway. He flashed a grin at Mal, his blue eyes sparkling with mirth. She was probably the closest person to him, closer than his own family. She knew more about him than his own mother did, and it was nice that the two were also heroes, saving the world together. His face softened lightly, into a kind smile rarely shown. It was his vulnerable side, the one that only she knew, the one he was so afraid to have broken.

Quietly smiling back she mouthed the words, "Love you, Zack." She loved him like family, of course. The two of them were tight -- unbreakable, almost. Malia was sure if one died, the other would shortly after. Laughing, she looked as the boy tried to fit his bag through. Throwing away the cup and plastic spoon from her ice cream, she looked around. This place was oddly comforting to her for some reason. Maybe because she came hear on a schedule? Maybe because this is where she and her, 'brother,' came? Malia didn't know, but it was for sure she liked it here.
