Shia headed straight for StarBucks. He strolled to the counter, his black hair following behind him as if he was a super star. He chuckled a low, dark laugh.
As if.
He strummed his fingers on the table impatiently. Where the crap was the waiter? She turned around, clearly finished with making a cappuccino, gave it to the waiting customer, then turned to Shia.
Oh boy.
Her round, blue eyes stared wide into Shia's black ones. Her face turned a bright pink, and Shia knew exactly what she was thinking.
She's crushing on me....
He had many girls fall in love with him. He was just that 'cute hot boy who looks adorable in black'. But he had only one love, his girlfriend, who died.
He smiled. The dazzling smile that made every girl float up to dreamland. The waitress' eyes brightened.
"I'd like a caramel frap, please," he said. The waitress smiled.
"Right up!" She hurried to the machine and started grinding everything. She put extra caramel and extra whipped cream.
Especially for Shia. He sighed, handed her a full 20 bucks, grabbed the frap, and left without saying anything.
With a flight frown, Malia apologized. "I'm sorry... That must've seemed odd I just suddenly came up and said hello," she said quietly, retracting her hand, watching the blond-haired boy's face. Unsure of what he would say, she quietly smiled and explained, "You see... well... My friend Zack, he's telling me who everyone is suddenly, and it's kind of overwhelming... and... yeah." Laughing with her eyes, she hoped Billy understood that by everyone she meant him and the other boy. "Well... I should probably stock myself up on caffeine for a few moments -- it was nice... kind of meeting you?" The boy was flustered -- that was clear, but no matter.
Giving Zack a light tap, she said a swift, "Starbucks," and kept walking. The ring of the door into the laundromat made her smile quietly, and as she walked to Starbucks, she bumped into a boy, dressed in all... "Black?" she murmured. Malia wasn't one to enjoy the color black, though she would wear it. "Oh, I'm sorry... I didn't mean to," she apologized.

okay, then. unfortunately loving an idiot who doesn't love me back. but i'm not falling. i just kind of... am. .
Zack shook his head as he saw Mal crash into the boy walking out of Starbucks. "Nice meeting you, Ming-Xue. Am I allowed to call you Ming?" A grin was on his face: everyone knew Zack liked nicknames. Especially since he hated his own name. What kind of name was Zacharia? It even sounded girly.

"That was not comforting either!"
"It is the way of the Creed. Usually our deaths are violent but quick."
"Ming sounds...." Ming-Xue wasn't quite sure how to say 'stupid' in a nice way, so instead he opted for giving an alternative. "How about Xue. Or Snow, since that's basically what it translates to. The translation of 'ming' is too... meh to use for a name." Finished with his short ramble to mostly himself, he looked up to see Zack's friend--Malia, he reminded himself--walk out the door after saying "Starbucks" as she passed by. Raised in a household where respect meant survival, he frowned. He could only hope her parents weren't as deadly serious as his were about being nice to friends.
"Alright then, Xue." He grinned. "Shall we go save Mal from that black-wonder and go out to dinner?" The kid was looking quite remorsefully at the world, yet still flashing 'beaming' smiles? Was he depressed or what? It was like...happy-go-lucky one second, emo the next. He should just make up his mind.

Ming-Xue was of the same opinion with Zack on the issue of the kid in black. What was his damage? But whoever dressed in all black (not even he did that and he liked his monocrhome) obviously had issues--at least, in Ming-Xue's mind. He almost made a comment on the hair thing before he realized it would be hypocritical and pursed his lips instead.
"I guess," the Chinese-Russian said, gaze drifting off the stranger in black (and wasn't it hot in those clothes? He made a mental note to ask. And what, was he still mourning or something? He couldn't recall a recent death...) to Mal, who had crashed into him. "What did you have in mind for dinner?"
"No idea," Zack replied with a chuckle. "Some kind of restaurant of course. I dunno, I like sushi. I think Mal likes...burgers - well, I do too - and I dunno. What do you want?"
ooc: Sorry for the short post.

Shia turned to glare at the person that bumped into him but realized it was a pretty, innocent girl. His heart melted and he felt sympathy for her. He smiled his dazzling smile, the one he did for the waitress. "Don't bother, ma'am," he said, putting on a fake French accent and saluting. "It was just an accident!" He smiled at the girl and turned to leave the door but felt terrible for lying. He turned around. "Hey, what's your name?" he asked, his voice regular.
Ooc: Wow. WOOOW. It's going to be a love hexangle when Shatter throws herself in. -3- I've made it rhyme so far. When Shatter decides to toss her own character in, let's see if it shall still rhyme.
