Amberpaw nodded, taking a deep breath. His force had knowcked the wind out of her, though she tried her best not to show it. "Again." she said, taking her stance. They went on for that for a long time, Amberpaw not showing much inprovement at the rate they were moving, but she was getting so much out of it. She knew practicing it on her own, that she'd have these moves down. By the time they were done, Amberpaw's paws were sore, she had bruises from her brutal training, but her eyes sparkled with achievement. She had gotten a scratch from the bark of a tree where she'd caught her fur in a knot, learning how deadly these moves could be if not completely thought out first.
They padded back to camp in silence, Amberpaw savouring how close they walked. During battle, she thought of her mentor as the enemy. Someone she had to defeat, and learn from. In camp, he ignored her and everybody else. Here, walking with him, this was something she valued over all else. The sun had set, and the moon was rising, signaling the end of the day for clan cats. Amberpaw wanted to talk to Ivoryclaw. She wanted to ask him so much about his life before becoming a warrior, but she couldn't find the will to move her lips. Instead, she stared at the forest floor a few feet in front of her, and kept padding on.

Ivoryclaw moved in perfect silence with Amberpaw. Neither made a sound as they moved, they seemed to glide over the ground. He looked like a phantom as the moonlight made his pelt glow through the spaces in the canopy of leaves above him. He felt Amberpaw's eyes on his side every now and again but he said nothing. Rather, he was calculating just how fast her progression was coming along. She hadnt picked up the flipping move to easily. That move took a lot of balance and leg strength to get. He had taken more than a few mere days to master it himself. As it was she was getting the move down nicely. The white tom felt her eyes on his shoulder this time and he was growing rather impatient of her constanting probing. "If you have a question for me, please just say it. No question will be answered if not first asked," he turned his amber eyes over his shoulder for a moment and held Amberpaw's gaze, just as deathly cold as ever. And yet, the look was strangly becoming on his solem face.
As he held her gaze, she was reminded of a conversation not a few days before. Could it have only been a few days? Eternity fit more nicely.
"It doesn't matter how much you want this, one day you'll hate me to the core. You'll wish I was dead how much I'm going to push you." He held her gaze in the same way.
Surely he didn't mean like this? She didn't hate him for how much he pushed her. She was eternally thankful for the way he pushed her. He didn't have a choice when it was his own mentor. He was forced to fight that way, this was her desicion. She wanted as much knowlage from any cat she could get it, and Ivoryclaw had the most knowlage currently. What she didn't count on, was this burning. This stupid feeling in the bottom of her gut that she hated him for. With a jolt, she thought of something else, and a silent terror filler her.
The way that Bloodeyes and Rosefur looked at each other. The way that her parents had touched noses. Mates sitting together at gatherings. She wanted that. Not the kits, she never ever thought about kits, but she wanted Ivoryclaw like that. She loved him, and she was just now connecting that burning feeling with the name.
It took her a minute to realise that she had stopped walking. Ivoryclaw was near her, and he might have been saying something, but she didn't hear. She felt her face get hot and cursing her light fur, she refocused her eyes on the ground, biting her lip and padding on, a little unsteady.
There was no way, absolutely no way that the feeling could be love. She did not love Ivoryclaw. On she walked, biting her lip so hard she tasted blood.

Ivoryclaw had asked once again what she wanted to say but she had stopped and focused her eyes on the ground. He had stopped along with her and an impatient look filtered in his cold amber eyes. A small blush had crossed her face and he knitted his brows at it. Perhaps she is just embarrassed at not being able to talk to me about it. Oh well, he thought to himself.
When his apprentice finally started forward again he turned and headed in the direction of camp. "You dont have to feel embarrassed about talking to me about your problems," he said flately, like always. "I wont make fun of you like an apprentice or another warrior would." After that he fell silent and waited for her to speak. Yet she still remained in silence. This was beginning to really irritate Ivoryclaw. Yet he was slightly startled at that realization. He had never truely become irritated over anything anyone else did. Well... with the exception of Floresadream who made it her job to make Ivoryclaw's everyday miserable. Amberpaw was one of the extremely few he got irritated with this way and he new it wasnt because she was particuliarly annoying... it was because he actually cared about what she wanted to say but wouldnt.
The white warrior thought about that for a while and his constantly turning and thinking mind took those statements and feelings and coldly rationalized them. He removed the feelings of his heart from them and twisted whatever emotions he had toward them in to intellectual and mechanized versions of them. He decided that it wasnt because Amberpaw was any different from any of the other cats... It was just because she had personally asked him to train her. That she was his first apprentice and he had yet to get her to respond on command the way he did with his mentor. That was all that it was... wasnt it?

oOc;; well ivoryclaw is teaching the whole clan his style, and the only warrior who refuses is florestadream so if he rejects ivory's teachings, he can be resta's apprentice. but its up to you.

The black and white tom yawned slightly. Badgerpaw streched his lanky legs and padded out of the apprentices den. He had a tiring day yesterday. He turned and saw Florestadream. He gave a small smile an padded towards her, " So, he said okay? That I can be your apprentice? " He inqquried. His eyes was lighted with a flirtatious look. He swished his black and white tail and smiled.
