Cuffing the young tom on the ear with a nod, Florestadream started for the camp entrance. "Let us go and train, Badgerpaw. Ivoryclaw has finished his lesson with the warriors and apprentices. We should have the training area free." She walked away from her apprentice. A large grin was plastered on her face as she said over her shoulder, "I hope you are well rested, Badger. Because there is no going back from here." When she was an apprentice, Florestadream's mentor was tough on her, but showed clear affection. Her mentor was like a brother -- like a father -- and was there when she needed them to be. She wanted to be a mentor like that. And now she had the chance to be like that. Hopefully she would not blow it.

okay, then. unfortunately loving an idiot who doesn't love me back. but i'm not falling. i just kind of... am. .
OOC: Just to let you two know, since they had been training all day and then Ivoryclaw and Amberpaw were training for the rest of the day, the tim line moved along so its night time right about now ^^" The moon is out at least ;D Hope you two like training by moonlight XD
Mosspaw slowly let herself roam the forest; she said to Bloodeyes she was too excited to sleep. Bloodeyes dismissed her, only letting her travel in the forest closest to the camp. She sniffed the air and soon found the scent of Florestadream and Badgerpaw. She smiled, wanting to watch their training. But why train at night? she wondered, amused. Mosspaw slowly walked over to her fellow apprentice and his mentor, and smiled.
"Hi, Badgerpaw, Florestadream," she said. She sat down elegantly and sighed. "I hope I'm not bothering you, just wanting to see your training, if you are." She laughed a little and smiled. "Please?"
ooc: just saying, resta, that you should head to camp soon for the deputy naming ceremony :]
He wouldn't make fun of her. Ha. Amberpaw kept walking without a word. She couldn't tell him, never. He was just her mentor. They were around the same age, and she was way past the time for her warrior name, but they had a relationship beyond mates. He was her teacher, her mentor. Of course he cared about her, he had to. She saw how devestated cats were when their apprentices or mentors died. It made her feel good that he might someday show that much emotion if she died. But no, she knew he wouldn't break even then.
But this burning, it had been bugging her sense the day before. She knew it was for him now, because it went away when she wasn't near him. She kept walking now, overly aware of the burning. How in StarClan's name was she supposed to tell him without actually telling him? It hurt her to even try to figure that one out, so she kept padding on, wondering why that day it was taking so long to get to camp. As much as she wanted to be near him, jsut then the embarassment was too much, she needed to think about things.
But of course, her distracted mind led her off, and she tripped over a root, letting out a yowl of surprise. She landed on the forest floor, seemingly unhurt, but stayed down, pouting at her misfortune.

Ivoryclaw stopped and almost rolled his eyes. "This is supposed to be the cat im putting all my faith in to?" he turned over his shoulder and his amber eyes gazed over her harshly. "Must i teach you another lesson today?" With a harsh sigh he turned forward again. "Alright, its obvious your distracted. Here is a way to focus on just about nothing but the forest." Ivoryclaw took a loose and casual stance. He closed his amber eyes and lifted his nose to the wind. "Breath in slowly and deeply. Listen to the wind around you. Nothing else matters. What can you hear? What can you smell? Listen to the forest and the world around you. Let your paws sense the vibrations around you so that you can almost see through your paws." The white tom flicked his tail toward the less dense part of the forest, almost to the part where they were in the open fields again. "There are three mice over there, playing i assume. One is smaller than the others, more than likely a runt. They scurry about without a care in the world. Can you 'see' them too?" He opened his amber eyes and looked toward his apprentice again. "Can you focus that well yet?"
Seeing his 'teacher face' she got to her paws and closed her eyes. But the only thing she could hear was his voice. How did she never notice how smooth it was? Each word flowing into the next, each scentence telling it's own story. She tried to tear her attention away from it and somehow... Felt his voice. How in StarClan's name did she do that? She felt the vibrations rocking the floor, touching her paws. It made her smile. Just as he said it, she saw the mice, too. Their little noses twitching, their paws pushing about. The largest one, probobly the mother, judging by the caring way she saw the other two, and her very faint smell of milk, sat up. No, She had to go! Amberpaw had to save her sons from the threat. Fear scent washed over her. A twitch of her nose, and she signaled to her children that they needed to run to survive. With a jolt, the apprentice snapped back into reality.
She let Ivoryclaw's voice wash over her, giving her the odd burning from before. She welcomed it now. No, she was not a mouse, adn cats would not hunt her. She was the cat. That was her meal, not her friend. Could she really tell that much fro scents and vibrations? Amberpaw opened ehr eyes carefully, seeing a smoldering sunrise. Had she been walking all night? Did she fall asleep? Opening her eyes more, she noticed it was Ivoryclaw. It was his eyes. She gazed into them a few moments, surprised by how much they did resemble the sunrise. Did her amber eyes look like that? She didn't see how that could be possible.
Blinking again, her eyes got round with fear and she looked at her paws again, blushing madly. Mousebrain! she cursed at herself inside her head, What came over you, why would you do that? He can probobly tell that you love him now, and he won't want to teach you because it will be too awkward. Your silly little feelings ahve gotten you away from teh best knowlage ever offered to you. Nice one. But staring couldn't really make him know that she liked him, could it?

Ivoryclaw had been studing her face. What almost seemed to be a smile had touched his lips when she had concentrated like he had. Her battle senses had take over her. She had been able to see her target and he knew it. Yet she had faltered, she glanced in to his eyes with an emotion that nearly knocked the wind from his chest. He started back at her as coldly as he ever did but he was frozen in place. What almost seemed to be fear coursed through his viens. "Good..." was all he said and faced forward again. He glanced ahead of himself, forcing his body to relax. Amberpaw must have just been excited to be able to see things she and many cats have never seen before. That relaxing trick almost put ou in the mind of your opponent. You see their weakness, feel their fear. He had used it many times on other warriors but never had he looked like she did when she came out of that state. "Lets go talk to Whitestar about your warriors ceremony. Its long past time you got it. But that doesnt mean you will stop learning from me."
With that, her wars twitched. Maybe he hadn't noticed. Maybe she was in the clear. She put her chin up, closed her eyes halfway, and walked next to him the rest of the way back to camp. "Thank you." She whispered, almost inaudablly. No, she didn't want to stop learning from him, but her warrior name was something she'd wondered for a while. Amberfur? Amberpelt? Neither seemed right, but she didn't want something like that. It was too generic, to normal. She wanted a name that wouldn't be taken again anytime soon. Amber... Amber... She wondered what Ivoryclaw thought her name would be. "What would you pick for my name if you were leader?" She knew the question was one a kit would ask, but she honestly wanted to know, and wanted to change her trail of thoughts.

Ivoryclaw glanced sideways at her, still trying to catch his breath and look normal. "Well..." he said with pacticallity in his voice, "More than likely Amberfur or Amberpelt... Then again those are very generic." He shrugged his shoulders. "Amberstorm maybe... Amberwing sounds nice." Actually he like that name very much.
An old memory flooded his vision, deep, loving amber eyes stared down at him. A graceful and beautiful face smiled at him. A rumbling, yet soothing purr echoed all around him. "What are we going to name them Amberwing?" The beautiful she cat turned her face to the right and glanced up at a brown tom with orange eyes. A small chuckle escaped the she cat throat. "We shall name our oldest son, Molekit because of his brown pelt. We shall name our daughter Mistkit, just like my mother. Our last son shall be named... Ivorykit. Just like your father. How does that sound Brownstripe?" The brown tom's face had looked lovingly on until Amberwing named the last son. His face darkend immediatly as he stared directly in to Ivoryclaw's eyes. "They shall do," he said shortly and left the den. Amberwind turned back toward Ivoryclaw and smiled again. "Dont worry little ones. Your father loves you." A screach sounded then and nothing but red haze covered Ivoryclaw's vision. The sickly smell of blood terrorized him.
A twig snapping brought the white tom back in to reality. He would have shown a startled expression normally but he wasnt exactly normal. He turned his cold eyes toward the nose to see that Amberpaw had stepped on a small stick and thought nothing of it. Ivoryclaw bristled to himself and shook off the dream. "On second thought... I hate the name Amberwing. I would never choose it." Upon saying that he hoped to chase that memory away for good.
