Ashton grumbled as the warm, sunlight hit his face. It made him feel weird, in the spotlight. And he hated being the center of attention -- the sun made him feel so. He sighed and stepped back a few steps, still protecting the entrance of their home. He had been guarding since midnight, and would continue to do so until sun-down. The little ones would bring him food, of course.
He pawed the ground, annoyed. Every single piece on his pelt wanted to run into the forest and chase down some deer, killing it. His claws itched to grab hold onto the scratchy fur of the running animal. He growled as he felt eyes burning into his gray fur. "What, Star?"
Oaklen yawned slightly as she streached her lanky legs. She blinked her green eyes and padded into the dim sunlight. She momentarily, closed her eyes. "Time to go hunt." Oaklen muttered to herself. She raced out of camp towards the beautiful snowy green forest. She turned her eyes at Ashton as she raced down the path. "Hey" She murmed to him as she raced by.

OOC: Im confused, is it winter or summer? Aurastripe said it was winter but i am confused ^^"
Terra leaned forward just a slight bit. Her dark brown fur matched the brown woods of the forest around her. Not to far ahead a small thin deer nibbled on little shoots of grass. The dark mountain lion flicked her tail back and forth. The dark stripe on her forehead that led down to her back trembled a bit as she bunched her muscles. The she-lion launched herself forward. The deer's eyes went wide as it turned to flee. Yet Terra was ahead of it, she dodged trees easily, not bothering to look elegant or graceful. She was the kind of lion that got the job done. She wasnt a pretty, yet she wasnt ugly but she had good abilities. She was a rather plain mountain lion other than the stripe going from her forward to the end of her back. When the dark lion was in range she propelled herself in to the air and came crashing down on the deer's hind end. With a grin she dispatched its life. The lion sat up and licked her jaws with pride. She wasnt a fan of living with so many other mountain lions but she did what she had to do, which is more than she could say for her sister. Her younger sister had been killed by the humans and their dogs but Terra was smarter than that. She escaped and now lived with the others in their clan. With a frown she headed back with the meal, knowing she had to feed the clan first.
Ic: Shadow smiled at Dawn. "I winter too, but there's nothing that we can do about it," he replied. He went farther into the camp and lay down in his den. It was cold and he shivered. He heard the roar of raging lion hounds far off, and stood, but he knew that they weren't after them. He looked at his paws. They were probably after Smokey, the leader of the rival clan. he remembered his past. He was born there, and lived there until he was old enough to leave. H d it, and they d him. He knew what they were capable of. They were large and almost unstoppable.

I am Jaggedpine. Just thought I should let you know.
Terra returned to camp with the limp body of the deer in her mouth. THe caves that housed the mountain lions were placed on a cliff that was stepp and hard for any creature to climb. Yet being part of this clan taught her how to navigate her way up to the snowy tops where they lived. When jumped from rock to rock and rose up the side of the nearly vertical rock face. She finally reached where the dens were at and small dirt pathways opened up that allowed for her to walk casually from den to den. She dropped her kill where the fresh kill when and growled out, "Alright, breakfast is served!"
Dawn stared up at the falling snow it made her mad because she knew she could not stop the snow from falling. Dawn sighed then said "I wonder when the snow will be all over?" Dawn wondered outloud. Dawn wondered this because knew that more snow would mean footprints so the humans could find them and it might be a little hard to escape them in this snow.
Tank leaped up as he heared Terra's voice and the smell of deer. He had slept late last night watching guards protect the camp and hunters come back with some prey or none at all. Shaking his pelt he walked out of the den and raced to the deer. Licking his whiskers he leapt on the dead prey with his dirty paws and sniffed it.
Terra pulled back from her kill almost in disgust as Tank pounced on it greedily. "Hey!" she growled, "Same some for others! Next time you get to go out and not get to enjoy a clean meal. At least lick your paws before you put them all over the food!" The she lion shouldered the large mountain lion out of the way so he was no longer pounced on the deer. Her dark brown eyes flashed a warning at him. She was rather small for a mountain lion but she was strong.
Dawn padded over to the prey. "Yummy!" Dawn said as she ate she did not eat much because she was leader and the other cats in the clan need more food than their leader. Dawn kept on eat until she was full then went back and lied down.
