ic: Dilidus followed them, staring at every thing with her purple eyes, and she wasn't keen on getting scratched up. But she liked them, so there was no point in arguing with friends. She walked on, only conciouse of them. What were they going to do?
IC: "Hm; that was completely and utterly surprisingly," Korian said; his tone, however, suggested otherwise. He was still in Demon form, and if one looked at his paws, they would probably take note of the mirror he had brought, which he was now using to get a better idea of what he looked like. "How did I not notice these earrings until now?"
Dilidus stared at the speaker. Who bwas he? She walked over, still in her human form. She didn't mind him or the others, but she couldn't quite get their names. She stared at them, waiting for instructions.
IC: Blake stopped in front of a cave. Next to the entrance of the cave was a skull that had been placed on a stick. "Normally, I would aviod entering places that ahve skulls near them. But today, we have to go in here and kill an overgrown spider," Blake sighed. "And I'm stuck with a bunch of new guys ho ahve no clue what they're doing." "It would help if you explained things better," Alex glared at Blake who grinned. "I told them I would be terrible at this, but they didn't listen to me." Blake shrugged. "A quick explanation on the whole summoning weapons thing: You can summon a weapon only when you really need one, for now. When in danger think of a sword, axe, hammer, or whatever you think you need and it wil appear. I don't ahve time to show you guys the longer much more difficult way to do it, so jsut stick with this for now. Eventually you'll learn how to summon weapons any time. As for the crazy old spider who lives here, his name's Glipse Armorhide. According to thsoe who have survived an encounter with him, he has a strange orb implanted on his back. We're assuming that its an Eye. For those of you who didn't get an explanation on why you're here or what the Eyes are, I'll get someone else to tell you later. Lets get moving, Varneco wants us to return before the sun rises tomorrow." ----------- The group wandered through the long tunnels. Glowing roots illuminated the caves. Eventually, they reached a massive cavern. Trees hung from the ceiling and more glowing roots could be seen near the base of the wall. Large spider webs stretched across the cavern. In the center of the ceiling, there was an odd lump of darkness. There wasn't enough light in the room to tell what it was. Suddenly, the dark shape moved. "Food?" a deep, rasping voice asked. The lump dropped to the floor. Now that it was in the light, Alex could see that is was some sort of giant spider. Its back seemed to shine slightly in the light. "I almost forgot! He eanred the nickname Armorhide because his back is armored. You can't hurt him. I've heard rumors that his weakspot is his underbelly, but I'm not sure," Blake said. "I haven't eaten in so long!" Glipse stomped one of his eight feet. The ground shook and spikes burst from the floor. "Food!"
IC: "So, I'm going to assume that we just have to get creative until we're in enough danger to actually summon a weapon," Korian said. "I suppose that's fine... Until then, I say split!" To illustrate his point, Korian leaped to the side, attempting to flank the spider. Kicking off with his pwoerful legs, he flipped, digging his claws into the wall. His inexperiance, however, caused him to slip, and he barely managed to stop himself from falling. "So, anyone got any ideas?" he called.
OOC: Hey, Rekk, what kind of powers/abilities does Armorhide have? Gotta have something to make an epic battle post with. =)
ooc: er...I will try to find a way to jump in....hope this works...
ic: "What the-?" Dilidua cried when she saw the spider. She wished she had something to splice it with. Something like a large spiked sword...oe that could rip it to peices. Shred it up. Or mabe something better...something like a mix of a hammer and an axe..... whatever, she needed something. She thought of one more weapon. A weapon that could destroy the armored spider. Spiders were eaten by birds... birds had talons... and beaks...what if she could get he hands on a weapon that did just what a spider feared from a bird?
Just as these transfixing thoughts appeared in her head, a weapon appeared in Diludis's hands. It was a strange type of sword, not thin, but light and strong. It had spikes along the curved spine that could rip and shred. But it also had another half to it that looked like a bladed axe-hammer. She turned towards the spider, not realizing that she had made the weapon appear. Her hands felt slightly stronger and like she had feathers. Her mouth and nose had converged innto a beak. Her lower half had hoofs, a horeses tail, and had become bent backwards. Her uper half had wings, taloned bird legs for arms, hawklike eyes, and the head of a bird.
She had turned into a hippogriff, but was standing on her hind legs with the weapon. She hadn't realized her transformation, and was edging away from the spider. But something told her to get closer and try hitting it. Something told her to attack quickly. But what could she do? She looked to the others, suddenly feeling her difference. The human companions seemed...a few inches smaller.
OOC: I left my notebook at school so I can't remember exactly everything about Armorhide, but I'll write up as much as I can remember. Glipse has the Eye of Deastro, the Beast King of Destruction, Lord of the Earth. The orb is dark brown and gives the user control over earth. With this Eye, one can cause the ground to shake and easily level cities. It gives one the power to change rock to sand and back again. It can also be used to give the user armor made of rock. As seen in my previous post, the orb can also create spikes made of rock. Like every Eye though, its power is cut in half when seperated from the BeastKing who controls it. So basically, Glipse can do all of the above but nothing super fancy like create a rock monster, completely destroy the cavern and then rebuild it in seconds, or create a super massive fissure. Levitating rocks and launching them at people is possible, but a whole bunch of them (like, say, 20+) is not. Don't forget that he's a spider and can do everything a spider can and even some things that spiders can't, like spit venom. Description of Venom: Begins to solidify once it comes in contact with something and makes a hissing noise. And definitely don't forget about the webs he's already got up. He may not ahve the whole perfect spirally web, but he's got huge, thick strands going all over the place. That enough info for an epic battle? XD I would post an IC post, but I'm tired and my neck's killing me. I'm just going to relax for the rest of the day seeing how all my HW's done.
ooc: I guess that we're fighting this wierd, oversized, and really strong spider with an immpenitrable hide? How do we beat im'? I've alreay summoned a weapon, and don't know what to do. ^-^"
