IC: "I was led astray by a raven, as well," Kori chimed. "Maybe I'm crazy, but I think there's a connection... regardless of whether or not we're going to find it again... Anyway, maybe we should try and find someone who can tell us what's going on here? I'm sure there has to be at least one being with even a slight idea..."
OOC EDIT: Um... did I kill this? DX

OOC: No, I' think everyone's jsut been busy. I have! XD But it looks like I've got to check in with a couple people. But, to give you guys something to do, I'll introduce a new character who you guys will get to know very well.
IC: "A Raven? Humans now demons? Sounds pretty interesting. Ah, Varneco. How nice of you to provide me with fresh food. Hmm...I wonder if you hybrids will taste better than my other prey. I hope you do, Weapons Masters are so difficult to touch. The only inexperienced one is protected by the soon-to-be-Dreadsouls. Heheh, I would love to see the look on that hybrid's face when he is ripped apart by those he called his friends." Alex looked around, searching for the source of the voice. There was a dull thud as something feel from a tree. The group turned around and saw an emerald colored, four armed reptilian creature staring at them with bloodshot, amber colored eyes. His yellowed fangs were bared in an ugly grin. His two upper arms had rusty, golden hands with three hooks on each hand. In his other two hands, he held two rusty cutlasses that looked like they wouldn't make it through another battle. To Alex, it looked like he prefered to have everything be rusty. Even his armor had spots of rust. The reptile's eyes gazed at the phoenix. His tongue slid out from between his teeth as he tasted the air. Alex noticed his tongue was forked, but not like a snakes. This creature's tongue split off in three directions instead of two. "I haven't tasted bird in so long, and the last one was delicious. I don't think I've ever eaten a Phoenix though. I bet you will taste like a dragon but..." the creature paused and inhaled deeply like he smelled something good. "You'll probably taste much better than a dragon."
IC: Korian tensed, turning to face this new, almost 100% likely-to-be-a-threat. What a weird creature... Still, perhaps they could get more information out of him, before a fight broke out. "Hello, there" he said, trying his best to not seem like he was suspicious. "You seem to know a lot about what's going on around here, and judging by what you've said you heard everything up to this point. And it can't hurt if you tell us about this place, since you're going to eat us -- or him, anyway -- afterwards, right? So how about it -- where are we?"
The creature chuckled. "You're on Earth," it said. "How about, specifically where we are and why there are guys like you running around," Alex asked. "Because this is the demon realm of Earth. Demons, and the occasional non-demon, run freely around this place doing almost whatever they please." "And who are you?" "How rude of me not to introduce myself. I'm so used to people automatically knowing my name, that I didn't bother to give it to you. My name is Fleshripper, I am a bounty hunter. Probably one of the best and cheapest for I don't want to be payed with gold, all I want is to be able to devour my catch."
Nath fluffed his feathers up and took a few steps back instinctively. "What, we're already being called to be killed?" He glanced down at his claws, glad to realize that they were sharp enough to shred any flesh-animal. "Or are you just some coward who likes to make his own title and kill others for the fun of it?" If he could, Nath would be growling. "I've seen humans like you before. Despicable vermin."

"If that was meant to be comforting, it was not."
"Everyone dies eventually. Once you are born, you begin to die."
"That was not comforting either!"
"It is the way of the Creed. Usually our deaths are violent but quick."
"Vermin is a good name for you." Before Fleshripper could turn around, a large hand shot out and picked him up by his neck. "Nitrox! What a surprise. Here to pick up the pups?" Fleshripper didn't seem frightened by the fact that a bigger, horned reptile wielding a massive battle axe was holding him a good foot or two above the ground. Looking back at the Phoenix, Fleshipper continued to speak. "Call me what you want, but I've already proved several times that I'm no coward, unlike this Dreadsoul." Nitrox's grip on Fleshripper tightened, Alex thought that he would snap the smaller demons neck. But instead, Nitrox tossed Fleshripper away from him. Fleshripper laughed. "How can you call yourself dragon. You can't even kill me." Before Nitrox could respond, Fleshripper was gone. Nitrox snorted. "Next time you see him, run. He won't chase after you if there's not a bounty on your head." Nitrox looked back in the direction where Fleshripper had fled to. He mumbed something that could've been in a different language because Alex couldn't pick anything out. "My name's Nitrox. I'm a Weapons Master like you, but I'm not human. We'll wait here to see if anyone else is coming. I'm not sure how many of you Varneco gathered up, but he couldn't have recruited 20 of you. Well, if you guys haven any questions I'll be glad to answer them."
Korian watched as the scene developed, raising an eyebrow when Mr. Fleshripper (what an odd name...) was thrown away by this dragon -- Nitrox. "I believe I have one -- or ten," he said, figuring that this dragon guy probably wasn't as rude as Fleshripper. "Hoe come people keep on calling us 'Weapons Masters'? What are they? And once again -- what the heck is even going on here?"
"They call you Weapons Masters becuase you are Weapons Masters. Varneco has turned you all into demon hybrids. You can change between demon and human form, warp between the realms, and summon any weapon you please besides guns. Don't even know why guns are considered weapons. Weapons Masters were created as a way to keep the Dreadsouls from wiping out everything. We can convince a Dreadsoul to...return home, though we would rather cure them of this curse. The only way we can do that though is by collecting the Eyes and getting all of the Beast Kings." Nitrox paused. "Things haven't been going our way though. One of the Beast Kings has sealed his soul in one of his own fangs, another has been captured by a strange creature, and the rest are in hiding. The Eyes have guardians that protect them with their life. People believe we cannot die, try not to ruin that. We need all the help we can get, no matter how few we are. "Currently, nothing very interesting is going on besides the rumors of a Dreadsoul roaming around Earth in the human's realm. Its just killing people left and right. THe humans are confused and don't know what to do. THey don't even know whats doing all the killing." Nitrox shook his head, then his ears perked up as if he heard something. "Oh! And don't tell anyone you're human. There are those who are like Fleshripper and would just love to kill a human. So few come, but those that do don't last very long. Many consider human flesh a delicacy. And then there are those who just want to kill a human. There are some demons who would gladly help you out, but they are hard to find. I can tell you that all Wavewalkers are friendly, but they are rare. The nearest one is 30 miles from here. Like all Wavewalkers, she knows just about everything. But watchout for the little demon Gekai pup, Seafang. He's a crazy, young guy who only wants to play a game that you can't possibly win. So don't accept his offer when he asks."
"Wait. This game. What is the reward if you do win?" Nath had heard the word 'game' and had had his interest immediately snagged. Being a thief, he loved playing games with the dim-witted commoners, games they could never win. "I'm sure it would be something amazingly useful, since no one has apparently won the game yet."

Nitrox thought for a moment before speaking. "Not sure. But, seeing how he hangs out around a Wavewalker, it may be something old and interesting. Could just be a story. Or maybe he doesn't plan on giving anything out at all." "What is the game?" Alex asked. "A race through all the old tunnels in the lake. They seem to go on forever. I got lost when I tried. Seafang knows the tunnels very well. He does live in that lake. After going through the tunnels, you're supposed to go to the surface and swim or, in Seafang's case, run across the lake to the opposite shore. The number one rule is that you must be touching the water at all times. If you stop touching the water fro just half a second, you're disqualified. Going through the tunnels is the hardest part. There's no way for you to get air while in a tunnel. "But apparently someone has won the game. Brutalus, though no one counts it since he is a god. That's also the first time anyone's actually seen Brutalus."
