Embetail stalked through the camp. He wasn't hungry, but he stopped to see how much there was, and if he and Skyfeather should go hunting in the morning. He saw her talking to Birdsong nearby. He padded over to them. "Skyfeather, we should hun in the morning, don't you think?" he asked, pointing his muzzle toward the fresh-kill pile. There wasn't a lot, but there wasn't a little either, and the clan always needed more prey. They'd show those cats who was the real loyal ones. H stuck his chest out with triumph. He didn't care anymore that everyone hated him, or his father was Lionblaze. He was Embertail, just Embertail. Not anyone really special, or really unliked, (in his own mind), but he was just him. And Skyfeather was just Skyfeather. That was just the way he liked it.

Willowtail suddenly remembered something, the gathering! She wanted to go because she loved gatherings still she would not freak out just because she didn't get chosen to go but still she really wanted to go. So she just waited until all of the patrols and things like that came back to the camp.
Riverheart snorted as he padded up to Skyfeather and Birdsong. "Or they'll forget they ever hated you in the first place and pretend that they were always your friend. That's how it's always been. That's how it always will be. Have you ever heard anyone apologize to Brambleclaw for being Tigerstar's son? I think not." His tail flicked, almost as if an apology, for bursting into their conversation.

"If that was meant to be comforting, it was not."
"Everyone dies eventually. Once you are born, you begin to die."
"That was not comforting either!"
"It is the way of the Creed. Usually our deaths are violent but quick."
Birdsong chuckled lightly. She never really been close friends with Riverheart, not as close as Birdsong and the brown warrior. But she knew him pretty well and talked to him, and joked with him, like friends would do. "Well, true," she meowed, "You and I would be ones who would brag saying we were friends with them since we kitted!" Her green eyes glowed with amusement, her mouth twitching into a small smile.
Skyfeather smiled at her good friends and chuckled, "Well you all can brag as much as you like when i get some sort of prohecy from Starclan and save the entire world! Then they wont look down on me! I say if youre going to dream, dream big. Im aiming for the heavens itself and no one wil ever be able to say i was the daughter of a murderer. Im just Skyfeather and im proud of it!" The blue gray she cat stuck out her chest and breathed deeply. Her eyes filled with star light and her heart swelled with dreams of the future. With a warm sigh she turned to the warriors dens, "For now lets get some sleep."
OOC: We can skip to the next day. THe next person to post can be coming back from a patrol if thats alright ;D
Panting, Embertail blazed into the camp. He had no idea that Foxleap patrolled that hard, and the tom thought he was pushed to his limits, but he forced himself to keep up, and tried to hide that he was tired. He turned to the warrior's den, telling himself that it didn't matter if he just woke up at dawn, he needed more sleep. He crept into the den and saw his sister. He prodded her. He knew that he was tired, but they had to do whatever it took. They had to hunt. If Skyfeather ever wanted to save the whole world like she was talking about at dusk the night before they would have to get up earlier and stay up later than any cat, patrolling, hunting, anything. They would show those arrogant ThunderClan cats that they were important too.

Riverheart, who was sleeping near Skyfeather, felt Embertail push in, and looked up blearily. "Whaddya want. She went to bed pretty late waiting for you, let her get some rest. You don't need to outdo the clan in everything so calm down and sleep," he almost growled, irritated that he had been woken up so early. He didn't have to leave camp until the sunhigh patrol.

Embertail looked at Riverheart. "You don't get it do you?" he hissed, but he didn't want to sound mean. "If you were going through the same thing we were you just might understand," he said, and turned away. Why did cats think they knew what he and his sister were going through? They didn't. Were they the sons or daughters of murderers? No. They had to do whatever they could for the clan to earn their respect. He tried not to touch any cat when he continued to rouse Skyfeather.

Skyfeather's deep blue eyes fluttered open until she realized why she was awake. She immediatly stood and stretched her back in to an arch to get ready for the day. She lashed her tial side to side for a moment and turned to her brother. Her eyes seemed to be lit with excited stars as a grin spread on her face. Today was a new day for her. She was going to make sure that every cat knew they were to be trusted. They were kin of Jaystar and she and Embertail would prove that they deserved to be treated as such. She almost skipped out of the den tossing a teasing grin back to the sleepy form of Riverheart. She shimed out to him, "See you when I get back. Maybe i can help you with your apprentice!" She turned and left the den with a light hearted gleam in her eyes. "Lets get going Embertail. If we want to get chosen for the gathering tonight we have to get all our duties done early!"
