Grunting at Berrynose, Kestreleye had heard it all. "At least they are useful. It seems your only talent is hurting others feelings." Padding to the brother and sister, He purred warmly at the two and meowed, "I am awfully hungry -- and I am not lying -- after training with Birdsong, and I know the elders would love seconds. Do not listen to theire words or take them to heart. You are as great as I am -- well, actually, greater. So do what you do best. They'll be sorry when you save them one day." He gave a comforting smile. For a young tom, Kestreleye acted like a wise elder when he needed to.

okay, then. unfortunately loving an idiot who doesn't love me back. but i'm not falling. i just kind of... am. .
"Alright Boulderpaw, keep your tail flat, but don't let it swipe against the ground - you don't want to rustle anything. Weight on your haunches....yes, that's right. Now, that leaf over there," Riverheart pointed with his tail, "is your prey. Show me your leap." Boulderpaw bunched his body against his hindquarters, as if a spring, and leaped powerfully, landing right on top of the leaf. "That's right! Amazing! Now let's find you something real to get. Then, we'll go for some battle practice. Maybe one of the other apprentices will be there." He kind of liked being a mentor. It was very relieving, especially since he had such a good apprentice. "Great!" Boulderpaw meowed enthusiastically, standing up from where he had pinned the leaf down, tail twitching. Riverheart lifted his nose and scented the surrounding area. His eyes flashed to a brush, shaking lightly - as if because of a breeze - and he pointed to Boulderpaw. "Remember, it's a mouse, it will hear your pawsteps before it scents you." Boulderpaw nodded and crouched, drawing himself lightly, ever so lightly, toward the bush. A mouse scurried out, looking for more food amongst all the plants on the floor. Boulderpaw coiled, and sprang. He landed on the mouse, killing it with a quick blow. "Great job! I think you'll be one of the best hunters in the clan! Wait till Sandstorm hears about this!" Everyone knew that Sandstorm was one of the greatest hunters that ThunderClan had seen.

"It is the way of the Creed. Usually our deaths are violent but quick."
Skyfeather smiled warmly at the tom, "Thank you Kestreleye." The soothing words of the younger warrior was all she needed to cheer up. Any chance she got to be able to be in a better mood, she took. With a determined smile the she cat turned from the tom and her brother. "Im going to go look for Riverheart. I told him i would go help him with apprentice. Even if he doesnt want my help im just giong to watch." She chuckled softly and trotted away with a bounce. Her tail flicked back and forth easily as she left the camp and the harshly glare eyes behind her. They only found ways to cristize her but she didnt care. They go soak their head in the lake for all she cared at the moment. She haddone her best. She and her brother had caught as much as a snigle patrol, that was good enough for her.
Birdsong padded into the forest, Squirrelflight on her right and Whitewing to her left. They were trotting in silence, none of the cats talking. Perhaps they were all thinking of troubles, as well. Birdsong was, of her parents, of Embertail's and Skyfeather's. She sighed. At last, as the walked on, Whitewing broke the silence.
"How about we stay here to hunt?" she asked. "The air smells fresh, prey must be here. And if we go near the ShadowClan border," she pointed her tail towards ShadowClan territory, "The grass would me mushy and marsh-like." Squirrelflight meowed her agreement and they both turned towards Birdsong. "Well, you're leading it, whaddya say?" Whitewing asked. Birdsong sighed. "I say here, i guess."
Embertail nodded at his sister, and turned back to Kestreleye. "Thanks. You're all great friends to us," he said. He yawned. He had to sleep. He had gotten up early, and had worked non-stop since. He padded to the warrior's den and curled up in his nest. He let everything he had ever felt, oain, happiness, he let it all come back. It flooded back, and he slept with them uzzing through his head, annoying him at every chance.

"Alright Boulderpaw, eat up. Since we're not a hunting patrol, and because I'm going to teach you some battle moves, you can eat it. But any other time, what's the most important rule regarding fresh-kill?" "Always feef the clan firsth," Boulderpaw meowed, his mouth full, repeating as he had been taught. "Good," Riverheart meowed, smiling. He lifted his nose, smelling a cat, Skyfeather, coming through the bushes a ways off. They were already back from hunting then.

Skyfeather trotted along through the forest as easily as one would in their own home. Of course she would though, this was her home. She grinned as she heard her friend upahead teaching his apprentice about what the code said. She passed around the last bush and gave a flick of the ear as a greeting. "Well hello there you two," she purred with a broad grin, "How is your first day of training going Boulderpaw?" Skyfeather knew the reason that Boulderpaw didnt really get a good amount of training yesterday, it was her and her brother that had caused all the ruckus. Still she was glad to be out amongst her friends. The young tom looked to be having a great time learning as well.
"Hey there," Riverheart meowed, inclining his head towards his dear friend. "Frwaet!" Boulderpaw meowed, scarfing down the last of the mouse. "Alright, let's go to the sandy hollow and get you started on your fighting skills." He led the way but let Skyfeather catch up, with Boulderpaw walking slightly behind. "How was the hunting?" he meowed, quietly, to Skyfeather.
