Thanks! That's nice of you to say! You remind me of my step dad. He used to say that every day bcause I always did my chores and every thing when he was around.
I know! You just fall in love with the characters when you write a story. I mean all people who are writters. I love my story characters in the thread I made for short story plots.
Ch. 10 Nightpaw heaved a sigh as he watched his sister go. He didn't want to talk. He looked up and saw Waterfoot and Winterfang. Tealwhisker had joined the fight. She was fighting alongside Waterfoot, slashing and biting. "Stop it, Winterfang, you idiot! Just stop! This isn't what Leafstar intended!" she hissed. Winterfang laughed roughly, narrowly avoiding getting his ear torn by Waterfoot's claws. "Nothing is what Leafstar intended!" he huffed. Nightpaw knew he had to do something. He couldn't sit here and watch them kill each other. He looked to Gempaw, who was passed out on his shoulder. He didn't know how much longer he could hold her up, but he wouldn't abandon her. He swiped his tongue over her ear and looked back at the three fighting cats. His claws dug into the moss and he felt it start to tear away from its hold on the rock. Nightpaw's eyes widened with terror as it started to slide off the side of the rock that jutted from the river. He claws at the rock blindly, trying to get a paw hold, but he grasped nothing. In an instant, he was submerged under the hungry current of the river. The water seemed to blind him and he thrashed and clawed his way to the surface. When his head reached the surface, he looked around aimlessly, trying to find his sister. Odds were that she was drowning out of his reach and there was nothing he could do. Nightpaw suddenly saw the three warriors battling in the water just a foxlength from his. He noticed the blood, sticky and warm, engulfing him. He was yanked down into the water again, and tried to surface but nothing happened when he tried to move through the tainted water.
Greenpaw streaked across the territory as fast as she could, but it wasn't fast enough. She couldn't go fast enough, even though she was going faster than normal. When she had seen her brother and sister, worn out and wet, Gempaw bleeding even, she hadn't been able to keep her mind off them. She had to save them, and Tealwhisker, the first nice cat that she had met in RiverClan so far. Finally, Greenpaw saw the entrance and squeezed her way through it. She burst into the camp and all eyes trained on her. Some cats snarled, but most just looked shocked. One cat stepped forward, one that had snapped at her. "Where's your mentor, Stormcat?" he demanded, swiping at her with claws splayed. Greenpaw leaped back just in time. "That's just it! She's fighting with Winterfang, and my littermates are hurt, and they're all gonna kill each other! You have to help me!" she pleaded. As if on cue, Leafstar emerged from his den and looked around. His eyes fixed on Greenpaw. "Tealwhisker is fighting with Winterfang?" he asked, slashing his tail. The apprentice nodded. "Where?" He motioned for a group of warriors to follow. Greenpaw turned and raced for the river, where she had last seen Nightpaw and Gempaw. She went even faster this time, because she had to lead a bunch of warriors, and she was an apprentice on her first day. When they at last burst through the bushes to the river, Leafstar looked in horror and anger at the three fighting warriors. Greenpaw looked at Nightpaw and Gempaw, but they were gone! She desperately looked around the river, but there was nothing much that she could see but blood that hadn't washed downriver yet. "Nightpaw! Gempaw!" she cried, digging her claws into the ground with anticipation.

Chapter 11 Nightpaw thrashed through the water, fear grasping him. He surfaced and looked around aimlessly, when he saw, on the bank, a patrol of RiverClan cats, led by Leafstar with Greenpaw at his side! Nightpaw felt proud for his sister, but at the same time was scared to death. He was yanked under by the current again and he felt himself slam into Winterfang, sending the cat a little ways downriver. Nightpaw surfaced to see Waterfoot and Tealwhisker swimming for the bank madly. Nightpaw looked back over to the Winterfang. The warrior's eyes were crazed. Nightpaw thrashed through the water slowly, trying to make his way to the riverbank, but he couldn't do it. Suddenly, something bumped into Nightpaw under the water. He let himself be dragged under to see what it was. He saw a big yellow lump floating through the water. Gempaw! He tried to swim toward his sister, but it was no use. His paws were exhausted, and he thought he might float away as well. But he had to help Gempaw! She could die without him! He had to help. He had to... Nightpaw felt teeth fasten on his scruff and felt himself being dragged through the water. For a moment, he thought it was Winterfang, and he started panicking, but then he resurfaced, and the faint scent coming from behind him was Waterfoot, his mentor. He went limp, allowing himself to be rescued by Waterfoot. He noticed Tealwhisker going for Gempaw. Nightpaw then felt earth and rocks beneath him, and knew that he had made it. Waterfoot carried him to the bank and dropped him. Nightpaw saw the patrol of RiverClan warriors around him, and then the comforting scent of Greenpaw filled his nose. The apprentice's muscles relaxed and Greenpaw crouched on front of him. "Nightpaw," she whispered. The black cat looked into his sisters eyes, which were clouded with worry. "Greenpaw," he said back, voice weak and tired. Then, Tealwhisker climbed onto the bank with Gempaw in her jaws. Nightpaw felt all the worry in his entire life fade when he saw his sister breathing. A RiverClan cat that Nightpaw knew to be called Wetfeather leaped into river, probably to get Winterfang. Another cat jumped after her. Nightpaw saw Leafstar glaring at him and his sisters with eyes full of anger and disapproval. Of course, Nightpaw thought. That was his last thought before he blacked out.
Greenpaw looked into the water, watching Wetfeather and the other warrior trying to get Winterfang back to the bank, but the battle scarred warrior refused and fought back. She noticed Leafstar glaring at her brother, who was sprawled out on the ground. Greenpaw crouched next to him.
"Nightpaw?" she asked. There was no response, but she didn't worry because she saw him breathing. She looked over at where Gempaw was flat on the ground too. She padded over to her. She was passed out as well. Greenpaw was happy that her littermates were alive, but would Leafstar be so happy?
Finally, after fighting with him for a while, the two warriors were able to drag Winterfang out of the river. Leafstar didn't even look at his senior warrior, but instead started back to the RiverClan camp. His warriors started to follow him, Wetfeather and the other warrior that had fought Winterfang guiding him along. He was tired, and seemed a lot less threatening now.
Tealwhisker grabbed Gempaw by her scruff and started carrying her after the patrol, and Waterfoot grabbed Nightpaw. Greenpaw walked along next to her mentor, whose eyes were dull with a bit of fright even. Greenpaw brushed up against her. Tealwhisker gave her a warm look, but then turned back to the ground in front of her.
When the patrol reached camp, Greenpaw still followed Tealwhisker and Waterfoot to the Medicine Cat's den. The warriors dropped her littermates in the den and turned back, away from them. Their fur was wet and plastered to their slender frames, and their eyes were expressionless.
As Tealwhisker passed Greenpaw, she looked at her apprentice. "Come on. We're not done seeing the territory yet." Greenpaw noticed that her mentor's voice wasn't happy as it would usually be for a mentor when they said that to an apprentice. The young cat nodded and followed her mentor at a slow pace all the way out of the camp and onto the territory.
