Zemmie laughed and pushed her wings harder. "Oh sure, Kit, I'm so tired because the o-holy one just flies so very fast." She spread her wings out and flew, having her wings flapping in a rhythmical beat. Seeing Kit was talking to Blaike, she left them in peace. Probably a lovey dovey moment, knowing them. She snorted at the thought, smiled, then stared straight, concentrating on flying.

"Hey you. Think fast." Theo pulled another apple from his jacket and threw it backwards at Zemmie, before rolling in the air and falling back. He wanted no part of Kit and Blaike's lovey dovey chatter. It annoyed the heck out of him, and he wasn't going to stand for something that did any such thing. Theo didn't actually have to pump his wings very much, seeing as he had such a large wingspan. From what he had heard, 9 feet was the largest any scientist had tried before, and it was also apparently unsafe to try anything larger. So Theo had been their success, and he had been in the School as long as he had known his own name.

Turning around, Zemmie caught the apple just in time before it hit her face. She smiled. "Oh gee, thanks for the gift, Theo. Just the one thing I wanted." Sighing an impatient sigh, she turned back around to face the front and took a bite out of the apple. It was juicy and sweet. Crunchy. Ohh.. yummy. Licking the juice off her face, she bit it more and more before it was all gone, down to the core, and tossed it down below her.

Kit looked behind him. Lovey dovey chatter? Since when did everyone think he was putting the moves on Blaike? Oh well, as long as it allowed for some space to be able to talk to her. He cast a glance downward at the girl. She didnt seem like she wanted to talk about it. Perhaps putting up a brave front so he wouldnt worry or fuss. Yet that wasnt his style. Had she just explained everything, he would have patiently listened and told what he thought. He wasnt the type to baby anyone but he did try to sooth a wound if he could find one. Still the thoughts of his own headaches came back and he muttered over the wind, "Im having them too... Are they extremely painful for you as well?"

That caught her attention. At first, she really didn't think of telling anyone about what she went through. "Yes." She muttered. "Seems as if they are increasing as well." She sighed, and continued looking forward. "I don't know what they did after I went unconscious. The machine was too much. I..." She choked on her own words. "It was just too much. Before they started they injected something in me. Then they turned it on." She shook her head, longing to forget what that machine made her feel. "They probably were going to do the same to you. Did they inject you with something?"

They yawned as he finished his apple. Perhaps he should have slept, at least a little. However, the kids weren't used to the idea of watches, so he had decided to take one. He couldn't keep it up every night though. He would have been asleep by now if he had to pump his wings any harder. Stupid. You overworked yourself again. Keep overworking yourself and you become a useless log. What would stop the others from leaving you behind then? Nothing. a voice chimed in his head. So why am I still with them, if I don't trust them to keep me around? he asked back, slightly irritated. Because, believe it or not, you are lonely. You don't like being all alone, no matter how hard you pretend to. You want someone to take care of, because you won't stand for anyone to take care of you. The voice answered back. Theo had no more words for it. What it said struck him to his core.

Kit took a moment to debate telling her but it was best that he did, "Yeah... They stuck me with something right before we escaped. That means that you are further along with whatever it was." Kit frowned, "It doesnt seem that the others have any in them. They would have woke up more grumpy if they had." Kit tossed a glance over his shoulder and caught sight of Theo yawning. He wasnt sure if it was from boredom or from lack of sleep. Kit figured it was the later of the two though.
"I think we need to head to a city. Its easy to disappear there and i dont think the scientists will do anything to cause much attention there. To many eyes." The boy thought for a moment. What if this stuff in their viens was lethal? What if it allowed them to track the Flock? What ifs werent getting them anywhere however. Kit gently flittered his wings on the breeze so that Blaike had enough room to flap her wings as well.

"City sounds good," Theo murmured, humbled by that annoying voice in his head. "I can actually get some sort of weapons for us in a city." You can't always be a hero, you know, that annoying inner voice was back, but it spoke in a gentler way. I can dang well try, he almost snapped back at it. You'll need to sleep eventually, you know. Theo's eyes narrowed. I'll still be taking watches every night. I'm almost done growing, I don't need as much sleep as the others. was his own excuse. "Let's find a big one," he muttered, as an afterthought, sure that Kit could hear him.

Blaike nodded. "City is smart." What was this in them? Why had they done it? Were they trying to track them? Were they just another part of the experiment? And why was it just her and Kit? Maybe someone else too? But then, why weren't they experiencing headaches. "Weapons are a smart idea Theo." She called back to him. If someone found them, they may need more than their inhuman strength to protect them.
