Ooc: I have a nice plan for Theo's weapon-gathering *grins evilly*
Ic: "How far apart do they keep their cities?," Theo growled, looking around at the country-side beneath. You know, you aren't usually this tired after missing one nights' sleep, it said, speaking -- if you could call it speaking -- up again. You know what? I'm going to give you a name. You'll just be Voice to me. Or else you can shut up and I don't have to name you at all, this Voice wasn't helping him with his exhaustion. If anything, he could feel the slightest of headaches coming on from it. Name me or don't, you still know that this is unnatural. You've gone without three nights' sleep and you still weren't this tired. It was an uncomfortable thought, but Theo pushed it aside.
Ooc: Lol, no worries Ebbs, fixed! :3

OOC: Sorry Duskie! Didnt see that you posts since i was posting but i planned on us getting a little further through the counrty before we foudn a good city ^^"
Kit nodded in agreement, "City it is then. Lead the way Commander." With that he dropped back from above her and flew behind her at an easy distance. The group soared for miles and miles, crossing state lines until they came to a state called Texas. They had been on the west coast at the school but now they had hundreds of miles between them. A city loomed ahead with sky scrappers. Most of the kids in the flock had barely any ability to read. Never having been formally taught they only managed to pick up key words when the scientists came by. They stopped outside the city and were unable to really understance the word but they knew it was the name of the city. Kit tossed a sideways glance at Blaike. "Might as well..." he murmured. With that they entered the large city with the tall buildings and an almost foul smell. "Lets try to find a place to hang for a few days..." Kit murmured.

Theo shuddered as the smell of...the only word he could think of was dirty flew up his nose. "Personally, I like the countryside better," he muttered. "Find a park or something, quick, before we all lose our sense of smell." Theo glanced up at the sign, which read something that sounded like Dall-as. Theo had been taught a little reading, but no one ever bothered to teach him names or geography, after all, he was an experiment, never meant to go outside. Perhaps he could get a few books on learning reading, or what the world looked like. It shouldn't be too hard. You're going to turn into a thief, you know, Voice said. Well, I'll make sure I turn into a good one, eh? he replied. Walking through the city, wings tucked into his jacket, he couldn't help but look at all the people who seemed to enjoy their lives there. The group walked on a concrete slab to the side of a darker one where big metal machines roared by. He had heard of them before. Cars?

Blaike's wings were tucked tight in her black jacket. Her eyes could not even take in this whole sight. Never had she seen anything like it. So many buildings, what could each of them be for? Why did a place need to many buildings? There were people walking everywhere, which made her a bit tense. But they all looked so happy. There were a few that weren't, and a few that she couldn't make out at all. They live like this everyday...She thought to herself. "I'm sure there is somewhere to stay, I mean look at all these buildings..." She muttered quietly. She felt shot down. Here she was, leading this group into a huge city which no one had ever been to before, and she had to find them a place to stay, but really, she had no idea where they could stay. Nothing looked satisfying. And nothing looked good enough to stay in. They continued walking taking in everything. And she say green ahead. She quickened her pace and noticed it was a park. Few people were in it. Some sitting under a tree, others walking dogs. This would probably have to do.
"A park, great. Go take the little ones to the play structure, at least you'll look normal there. I'm going to get us some necessities. Oh, and if anyone asks you if you're skipping school, tell them that you don't have any today." Theo turned and walked off, memorizing each turn he took as he wandered through the down-town area of the city. There were far more stores here. He decided that he would look for some place with books first, and then find them weapons. It would seem easier, anyway.
Ooc: lol, my next posts are going to be looong. XD

Kit's heart raced a mile a minute. Perhaps the city was a bad idea. There were so many people here. It wasnt helping his nerves at all. All the noise and the smells only made thigns worse. Each of the bird kids had their wings tucked within their jackets tightly against their backs. THis way they only looked a bit more muscular than normal but that was fine. The only on that looked really buff was Theo. Since his wings were huge he had a harder time hiding the wings but he managed it somehow. They had all trudged, looking for a park or something when a flashing box in a window caught Kit's eyes. He stopped while the rest moved on without him. The box looked like the screen that the scientists used but this one was colorful with moving people on it and had sound. Kit smiled a bit in wonder as he stared at it. There was a tag on it that read, 'T.V. 1/2 off'. Kit didnt quite understand but he he knew it was called a television. A woman behind a desk with her hair primmed sat looking out of the TV. Kit knitted his brows and listened. "And in other news," she said, "The miraculous Bird Kids have made another apperance today." Kit felt his blood run cold but when the images came on to the screen he saw that he didnt recognize any of them. "It seems that Maximum Ride and her 'Flock' have managed to stop a giant underground corporation and we managed to get a press conference with them." The girl that came on the screen looked beautiful with her brown and blonde streaked hair tussled about her face. She looked rather stiff as she stood next to five other kids with wings. Kit's jaw dropped. Could this really be the Max that had escaped?! Of course it had to be! The group of kids stood outside of a building on a platform with a large crowd around them and flashing camera lights. "So," said the man that was interviewing them, "When did you learn about all this under ground consperiacy?" Max frowned deeply at the man. "Since the day i was born?" she snapped back sarcastically. A boy in her group with large wings and pale hair grinned to himself and high fived a younger boy who was snickering. Max crossed her thin arms over her chest as if she was growing fed up with all this. "How did you know how to stop all this?" The man questioned, getting a bit flustered. "Would you believe me if i told you it was a voice in my head?" She growled. The two boys again laughed but this time it was more like a good belly laugh at the expense of the reporter. The dark member of her group ever so slightly touched his wings to hers and it was barely noticable but Kit saw her hand twitch in agreement. Each of the kids on the stage flared their wings and jumped high enough to barely clip the reporter in the head. "Gotta go," Max chuckled, "As fun as it is being filmed, more bad guys to fight right?" With that the footage of the kids flying away cut to the woman behind the desk again. Kit's wild green eyes were wide. A man standing next to him scoffed, "Wouldnt it be great to be on of them?" Kit looked up at the man who was watching the TV with envy. Kit shrugged dumbly and moved away to find Blaike. Before he reached her the woman reporter said, "Max and her gang were last seen crossing the Mississippi River earlier today."

ooc; I've learned to copy my post before posting it =] Just in case XD
Blaike looked at the group. She noticed Kit coming up behind them with a look on his face she couldn't read. Which was sort of odd, because she was always able to read his face. "Alright guys. We need to stay as inconspicuous as possible. Meaning, let's blend in. Under no circumstances do you." She paused as a woman and her daughter walked by them. "Don't bring out your wings." She added quietly. She sent a questioning look as if to say, 'What's on your mind?'
Saturn stared at the reporter. Max and her flock? It would be cool to meet them. "Uhhh...welll...why are you here?" she asked the reporter. The reporter hadn't heard her so she went over to Theo and stood next to him, but not too close.
